Fantastic. Gave $100 and haven’t even listened to the interview.

Simon - are all our donations through Hopium linked to ACT BLUE? I want Hopium to get the credit.

Simon Rosenberg's avatar

Yes, the link is for our ActBlue page.

Thank you Kate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So important! Thank you for creating this vehicle to help our Minnesota brothers and sisters in a tangible way. Just donated!

I just donated. It’s been heartbreaking to watch 3000 ICE on an intentional rampage.

Thanks Simon for doing this. This is where I know so many people. I am trying to get in touch with people there and see how they are doing. I put in $25/month to the new effort.

Folks:

Yes, they are ELIMINATIONISTS. So, Rick Wilson agrees that Miller is fixated on making dystopian-racist fiction reality. Here is his take on “The Camp of the Saints”, and its impact on the current Oval Office (only 7 minutes): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6HZ83XFyH8. They have an objective to DENATURALIZE millions of Americans; it is White Nationalism on steroids. I have one word: NO!

P.S.: Your country has serious problems when the “leader” begins stashing cash in Gulf nation states (the GCC): https://www.semafor.com/article/01/14/2026/us-gets-first-500-million-venezuelan-oil-deal-holding-some-proceeds-in-qatar .

ON REPEAT FROM EARLIER IN THE WEEK:

“[I]f it were up to [Stephen] Miller, there’d only be 100 million people in this country, and they’d all look like Miller.”

- Donald J. Trump (2024)

“Again, it all goes back to I think the person running the country right now is a DEAD PEDOPHILE [emphasis mine].”

- Professor Scott Galloway (NYU), Founder of Prof G Media

Folks:

To keep your spirits up, here is a great dialogue between two amazing historians, Heather Cox Richardson and Joanne Freeman (44 minutes but worth a listen): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lz30IMcKDrM. They are living history with us and are open about using the terms FASCISM and DICTATOR. Also, here is the great Joy-Ann Reid along with some friends, who seem to agree that the unexpected death of certain people can spark societal

Hey Patrick - great info. I am White and I'm so pissed off I can hardly see straight. Imagine how our Black and Brown sisters and brothers must feel. I would be freaking terrified.

Patrick's avatar

Dr. Boyer:

I’m honored that you thought my information was useful. Let me open your horizon beyond race, which may seem ironic. The other side are certainly eliminationists, but race is only part of the equation. Please read up on Carl Schmitt, the Nazi legal philosopher, who in the 1930s loathed liberals and progressives in a transitioning Germany (almost everyone was Caucasian in the country, yes?).

If you remember Project 2025, we are experiencing an ideological battle (i.e. the book bans on every level, rewriting history, and so on). Also, when the authoritarian shift takes place, the opportunities become constrained for all women because of their utility for the reproduction of the in-group and the threat of reproduction for the out-group. This reproductive insecurity is now called the “Great Replacement Theory”.

More importantly, an exclusionary populist, like #47 aka Dolos, must constantly redefine “in” and “out” to maintain his followers’ obedience and allegiance (think of the shunning of MTG and Representative Massie). The circle always gets smaller and smaller. Look at all of the Russian Tsar’s former business associates who are now “slipping” out of windows. Rommel was A.H.’s number one general until he was not.

Dolos is a malignant narcissist (look up Vlad Vexler on Substack). To him, EVERYONE is expendable and disposable. Please recall that he buried his first wife on one of his golf courses (tax advantaged?). He literally CAN only care about himself.

Be well.

Thank you . I’m going to donate as well once I figure out how to do so.

Either something is up in the universe, or I'm losing my mind: it's the second or third time I have posted a comment to our forum and then fail to see it appear. So, if it does elsewhere, please forgive.

I, too, have made my first contribution to our new MN campaign.

BeeBeeinNYC's avatar

It helps to unclench my teeth a bit when I ponder my next message to Chuck Schumer.

Kent Boyer's avatar

This is freaking unbelievable federal abuse. I just donated all I can as well. At this point, I'd do virtually anything I can do to help them. I am so angry that I'm very motivated. Thanks for setting this up Simon.

You all are amazing.

So proud to be in this fight with all of you - S

John Payne's avatar

Donated, thanks so much for creating this opportunity. I had not mentally made a connection between donating to the Minn. Democratic party and providing immediate help to oppose ICE's lawlessness and chaos there, but this post and interview make a compelling case for that. It's a win-win.

p.s., ok so my email for this post came in at 2:56 p.m., and it's not even up an hour, and it's over $18,000??? Wow folks.

Elizabeth T.'s avatar

I totally agree, John! I had not made that connection, either. This is about defending our democracy! I have contributed and will do so again soon.

Simon Rosenberg's avatar

So John, and Elizabeth, one of my beliefs is that the Democrat Party, as the heirs to the most important democracy in the history of the world, must muscle up and become more than an election machine. It must stand for democracy and freedom here, and everywhere, and become a very conscious antagonist to autocracy here and everywhere. It requires an expansion of it's mission, a rising to the moment, placing ourselves in the global fight for freedom and democracy. We need the Democratic Party of the United States of America to become big, not small, and do what needs to be done now. That's what this project is about.

John Payne's avatar

Thanks for that Simon, that makes a lot of sense. I've heard you say many times that elected leaders have to learn to be leaders of the opposition and not just legislators, and have tried to press my Democratic members of Congress to do that. But I need to, in a sense, regularly defog my own glasses on that topic as well and learn to see things in a different way as well. Now the last 24 hours have provided two great examples of how what you are talking about manifests in the real world -- Sen. Coons' trip to Europe representing pro-democracy Americans, and the Minnesota Democratic Party (DFL) taking the lead for training observers, working with content creators, and planning to protect the upcoming caucuses.

YESSSSS! I will be messaging this to my friends! This is a very tangible way to crystalize everything we have been building towards. Thanks. And to all of you in Minnesota, mad respect and big hugs. ICE was in my town in October and it was super scary -- but nothing like what you're experiencing.
