Whoo hoo! She won she won she won!!! Miami’s my home town, and though I live near Orlando now, I still love my beautiful city. And to have a Democrat elected mayor again has me over the moon with joy! Thank you, Simon, for spotlighting Higgins’s race. I hadn’t heard about her and hadn’t been solicited by her campaign but with your advice, I was thrilled to donate to her. Let’s turn Florida purple again! (I think that’s a great place to start, but we need a blue governor’s mansion.)
In Miami we really NEED to find a way to address the disinformation spread by Spanish language radio. It is the main source of info for so many people and does terrible damage.
Interesting point. As an outsider I'd have never known/considered this issue. Is it right wing Spanish language talk radio? Religious radio? Or Spanish language radio more generally in South Florida?
