I am trying to understand how you felt this was a constructive and helpful contribution tonight of all nights. We don't whine here. We do.

I can not watch #MangoMussolini debase the US & Congress by watching this tire fire tonight. Hopefully, Dems boycott (like AOC) or walk-out during #AgolfShitler’s diatribe

I read somewhere if dems don't show, the repubs have people to fill seats who wildly applaud every brain fart Trump let loose.

I'm boycotting the fib fest. Instead I'm on Move On's You Tube call. Still calling my reps and getting more responses.

I liked their call to phone bank on Thursday. Turned it off when they switched over to the Capitol.

Same here. Took my dog for a walk. I'll be at work Thursday during the phone bank.

Self-reporting. Called my Congress people and expressed my alarm that a DOGE person who refers to himself as 'Big Balls', and has known associations (as reported in Wired on Feb 8) with hackers, and other nefarious people has access to CISA. I am worried about the integrity of our elections when the foxes have been let into the hen house. Also, Pete Hegseth ordered that all offensive cyber operations against Russia be stopped. We are being sold out to the Russians and Chinese. We need serious people in charge of CISA to ensure we have safe elections so we can get our country out of the mess we are in.

Also, 800 people were fired from NOAA yesterday - meteorologists and oceanographers. This sounds like another thing that will make air travel more dangerous. If airplanes don't know what weather to expect, how can they avoid the turbulence, etc.

I will follow up with email with additional concerns after attending Ron Wyden's town hall.

NOAA layoffs will have enormous repercussions--airline safety, tornados, the list goes on. We will learn the hard way how much we rely on them.

At the Ron Wyden town hall, another person expressed concern about DOGE having access to CISA, but his concern was about the power grid.

I'm watching the MoveOn counter-programming and Senator Chris Murphy is nailing it. He's a spectacular communicator--akin, I think, to Bill Clinton back in the day.

Thanks for being there, Simon. I feel like I'm squeezing your hand tonight. Gonna watch an old classic movie. Hitchcock? Hepburn? Hardly matters.

Wishing everyone well. Manage your blood pressure.

The underpinnings of our economy and the constitutional principles that serve as a standard for law and order are headed for a metaphorical prison. Why, therefore, do we have to pay our 2024 income taxes? Our criminally narcissistic president isn't going to!

I was very impressed with Prime Minister Trudeau’s address tonight. He has set out a plan for the Canadian government to see that their citizens and Canadian businesses will be protected through this. It is a shame that he resigned. Thank you, Simon, for setting that up for us. They are fortunate to have such a wise and concerned leader.

Thank you for including the Justin Trudeau clip, Simon. Seeing an articulate leader express love of his country and its people and then answer respectful, intelligent questions by the press makes me nostalgic for America pre Fox News.

I just came back from a Mardi Gras dinner at my church. As we were leaving, one of the matriarchs of the church who was a student leader during the civil rights era told me we needed to ignore the television tonight and focus on the fun of our celebration. "I made it though scary days before and I know we'll make it through the scary days today. We know how to fight and win." She's right.

Written to the response I received from my Senator.. We need leadership!!

to Senator _____

Thank you for the reply. I understand your honest intensions and recognize your

work to those ends.

HOWEVER, ITS NOT ENOUGH111

Read, please, this essay by Edsall and pass it around the Senate. Saving our country will not happen without a FEROCIOUS DEFENSE with tactics that counter what Edsall describes as forthcoming and in many cases already exists.

We must take over the narrative. Declare for the 2028 Presidency if you must!! We need a spokesperson. Create media programing, Begin a campaign

greater than 2024 to accumulate funds. Energize the Lincoln Project to create the message, Rally the students before the bastard starts removing university funding. Buy TV time...don't let any lie get away.... Seems to me a march on Washington is overdue.... the clock is ticking!!

GO DO IT!!!

Ron
