My question is whether Congressional Republicans are in denial or would "learned helplessness" be a more accurate term.
There's a part of me that cannot believe that out of the public eye, there aren't a significant number of Congressional Republicans, who are fully aware of the destruction Trump is doing to our country and want to stop it. But having failed to confront him or surrender to him so many times, they are incapable of doing so now.
That does not excuse their continuing fealty to him, I'm just curious whether Republicans, and the right-wing in general, have effectively imprisoned themselves in a totalitarian structure of their own creation.
