Her strength among this suburban demographic is really underappreciated. She's put in the work and it shows. Now let's go get those votes in.

Patrick Meighan's avatar

Also an under-appreciated element: that demographic-- in addition to being the most dedicated voters-- also represents the most dedicated volunteer base. Trump has punted on the vast majority of folks who actually go out and knock on doors.

Polymarket's largest investor is Peter Thiel. It is part of the MAGA disinfo universe. Anyone who comes on this site and tries to argue this is something we should pay attention too - fucking betting markets run with crypto currency - should leave this community right now.

ArcticStones's avatar

Also worth knowing: Peter Thiel is in bed with Nate Silver. That goes a long way toward explaining some of the really weird tilt in Nate’s model, narrative and analysis this year.

Good for him... luckily the Harris campaign has a GIANT legal team behind her campaign! Including this guy... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc_Elias

ArcticStones's avatar

Yup. Ten times as many lawyers as the Biden Campaign did in 2020. And we have Marc Elias on our team.

Jason's avatar

The larger the margin of victory the less these shenanigans will matter. MAGA wants us to believe Coup 2.0 will happen no matter what because it distracts us from the work required to win. There is an army of lawyers on our side ready for their nonsense but our job is to help win and win big.

That’s a good one. Thanks🙏

So glad they're in this fight with us. Another in the LONG LIST of things that matter in a race like this !

Tracey, I am suspending your ability to post here for one week. We just cannot have this kind of stuff flowing in here in the final month of the election. If you want a full refund please email me and I will provide it.

Simon Rosenberg's avatar

I've removed it. This level of conspiracy theory is not helpful. Thank you.

Aspenwood's avatar

Thank you, Simon, for keeping us focused and on message, especially at this critical time.

Simon - if you want to defeat Deb Fischer in NE, why not include a link to donate directly to Dan Osborne? I had to go to facebox to find a link. Not a good look.

Shmoobly's avatar

@Paul with all due respect just post your link here, that way you "do more, worry less" which is the unofficial Hopium Chronicles community motto 🥥🌴💪

Ben H's avatar

Because he’s an independent that isn’t interested in the Democratic endorsement and our dollars can go farther with the NE democrats (which does have a link).

Paul Carrigan Jr.'s avatar

Well... Jane Kleeb has been working with Osborne and other Independents in NE, acc/to a recent interview with Simon, and she recommended we support him. That's good enough for moi.

Simon Rosenberg's avatar

Paul, several points here: 1) you are free to support whomever you want outside of these recommendations 2) I am only supporting Democrats this cycle 3) if you want Osborne to win you must be pleased that Hopium is the single largest outside investor in the Nebraska this cycle outside of the main party committees and the Harris campaign. When you give to NE Dems you supporting all the races in NE 4) negative sentiment in this post unnecessary and unwelcome. Do better next time. Thank you - S

Paul Carrigan Jr.'s avatar

Sorry, I did not mean to be negative. I was simply confused by the omission, and by your interview with Jane Kleeb, in which she explained how important working with Independents has been to the 'Blue Dot' Dems. It appears that the NE Senate seat is up for grabs, and ANY reboid defeat is a plus in this zero-sum election. pc

Steve's avatar

I suspect many here have donated to Osborne, Paul, (Me, for one) . The power of the relatively small Hopium community (at least financially) might not be as large as you wish and I really appreciate Simon's expertise in focusing us on getting the greatest bang for our bucks and postcards. I also think the shot at Simon ,"not a good look" , by you is pretty arrogant and "not a good look" for you yourself on this forum.

Paul Carrigan Jr.'s avatar

I was confused by the Kleeb interview that's all. Didn't I was putting down facebook.

Hope you feel better.

Steve's avatar

I hope you do as well.

It's a solemn day but it will be a very sad next 30 days if Trump wins. We need to do everything we can do to put Harris/Walz over the top. Thanks, Simon, and the Hopium community for keeping us all motivated!

Mike Hais's avatar

We received our ballots in the mail on Saturday afternoon and deposited them in the return box first thing Sunday morning. I can guarantee that Kamala Harris & Tim Walz, Adam Schiff, and Judy Chu have now received the first 2 of the many votes they will receive in California.

Simon, et. al. - turns out that handwriting is good for brain health! https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/benefits-of-handwriting

So when we write, we win — and get brain benefit! Who knew!

All best!

I have always felt that way, Don. Thank you for the science article backing it up. I personally feel that if I make a list in my own handwriting that I have taken a concrete step towards getting it done. Same for writing out a letter or post card. It feels more physical and not a "concept of an action". hee hee.

Hi, Simon! My memory is that after the 2022 election, the NYT did a bit of a mea culpa concerning use of Republican polls to skew the average and predict a red wave. Would you and Tom consider submitting an editorial to them explaining that it's happening again? Meanwhile, phone banking hard today for Harris/Walz, Tim Kaine, and Ken Mitchell.

Juliette's avatar

I have a similar question. I am sharing the info you, Tom, and Joe Trippi have provided about the skewing of polls, but are there other ways those in the pro-democracy sphere can get the word out more broadly about how the Rs are using and will continue to use this strategy to their advantage?

Shmoobly's avatar

@Simon on the chance that your kid is on TikTok here is some helpful info on Day One Voting:

Please share this important video on how we can help Kamala WIN before election Day! Feel free to forward as is or add some sparkle to it! Remember when we fight WE WIN!! https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTFyKUcn9/

@everyone: I am guessing we Hopium peeps are in the older demo, however, everyone please pass along to anyone you know with a TikTok account. GO Team Hopium!! 🥥🌴💪

If you know someone in Florida, please ask the to check whether they are registered to vote – and, if not, to immediately register. Apparently, today is the last day to register to vote. Governor DeSantis has refused to grant an extension.

Pete's avatar

Today is Georgia's registration deadline as well

Tracey Queripel's avatar

Also Texas. Texas does not have online registration. If you mail your form, it needs to be postmarked today, but I highly recommend hand delivering it or registering in person.

Kathy's avatar

Thanks,Arctic Stones! Today is the last day to register to vote in Florida!

Milton is now a Cat 5🌀.DeSantis has his priorities…..he issued an emergency declaration ahead of  Hurricane Milton that prohibits Emergency Mgt Director Kevin Guthrie from exercising his authority to suspend /limit gun sales. The preemption of Guthrie’s authority is unprecedented.

I just heard Guthrie speak and he said Milton is unprecedented and unpredictable.I think I’m going to frame his words: “Models are models.Science is science.”

Trying to do more, worry less.Pennsylvania needs help with ballot curing.

Voters welcome calls to assist them in fixing any issues with their ballot.Opportunities available today ++📲

Ron DeSantis is a punk. I'm just saying.....

Janet HB's avatar

That’s being too polite!

Aspenwood's avatar

DeSantis is refusing to take calls/help from Harris. Biden and Harris are going around him directly to other state officials and local officials. DeSantis is far worse than a punk!

Carol Robinson's avatar

Harris will be on The View tomorrow.

I appreciate the Winning The House list, Simon. I'm finishing a stack of postcards for NV this week and will begin some of the House cards for CA immediately after that. Let's keep doing the work and build even more momentum in these last few weeks.
