I started reading your substack a few months before the election and you really earned my trust. I've only been able to muster the energy to call my senator (I have Moreno) after repeated encouragement from you. They never pick up the phone, but I leave messages at all of their offices and it's getting easier. I look to you for sanity and guidance.
Good for you. I wish every single democrat across the country would make 2 calls a day - it takes 2 minutes, to oppose the crap the congress is trying to do. I live in TX (unfortunately) and I call every single week and sometimes 2-3 x a week. NOW I need to start calling my Texas legislators because they are trying to implement the Bible into public schools, my god, will this madness ever stop?
Thanks Simon. It’s been good to see people all across the country pushing back on all the cruelty going on in the administration. The pressure works. Good evidence that harnessing the grassroots orgs as an army of democracy warriors would be powerful. We need to mobilize
Dear Simon, shouldn’t we (Democratic Party) and all of us be going all in on supporting and amplifying Josh Weil’s run for FL.6th Congressional seat? Especially In light of the recent Iowa win flipping a heavily Red State Senate seat? Or is this a pipe dream?
