Thank YOU! You are my North Star. I keep referring people to you and once they sign up, they all agree how much deep value you are providing. And too, you keepi us centered and sane as we channel our activism in high yield ways. 🙏
Well, the next election is actually happening today – it’s in Indonesia, the world’s third-largest democracy. Fortunately, no one (not even Simon!) is expecting you to phone-bank! ;)
You are welcome!!! I've said this several times tonight - I am so grateful for the communities and leaders I've found and connected first through Heather and Robert, then through Markers for Democracy and Jessica and now, you! I've lived in the district for 25 years, so except for president, I don't have anyone with voting power to vote for. But because of you all, I've got plenty of folks to work for in the whole country until I take my final breath!!! Thank you!!!!
Good morning, Terry. Because you live in DC, you are officially a free agent. Congrats!! Your elasticity of political movement gives you super powers❣️Thank you for all you are doing. (From a former NOVA resident now in MICH).
What a super lovely and exciting way to look at this taxation w/o representation!!! You are so welcome! One of my dear friends from my spiritual community is originally from the Upper Peninsula, and now splits her time between NOVA and there... and she and her partner did The Loop in his boat last year!
Yes! Simon, Jessica, Robert, Heather, Joyce and others are our fearless leaders. Each of you are informing us and motivating us in ways the Milquetoast Media is unable (or unwilling) to do. You are leading those of us who care enough about our future to roll up our sleeves and participate. You are motivating us to call, write, and donate in support of races that matter. Simon, you helped get Tom to his 55%! It can be done! We can do this!
So grateful to be able to send postcards and do a little something to help defend our democracy. Appreciate intrepid Long Islanders getting to the polls in that “weather” Hugs to you and your neighbors!
Hugs back - I love hugs - especially on Valentine's day!! I was born and mostly raised on LI, now living in DC - so I'm neighbors in the larger sense of community members!!
Brilliant!!! I love this idea RAGE into RESULTS...through the power of love - not the mushy romantic kind, but the powerful, all encompassing love that Dr. King spoke of - "Hatred cannot drive out hatred; only love can do that." ❤️
I have been thinking of Helen Reddy too lately! She influenced so many women of several generations to trust our own strength. I think she'd be proud of all of us.
Acknowledged and earned gratitude in every way for such tremendous teamwork! Thank you all for the door knocks, phone calls & post cards. Some of us can only contribute dollars but together look at the results!
And it’s going to help me recruit my Democratic friends who watch MSNBC to further involvement. You and Simon are great inspirers to specific actions. Thank you! ❤️🤍💙
Well deserved, Jess! Sending you lots of LOVE. And as your 78 yr old crone groupie (!) I remind you to take good care of you - rest when you need it so we don't ever lose you to burnout...see my concern is partly selfish!!! Blessings, dear one, ❤️🙏🏼💗
Grassroots power - all those postcards, knocks and calls! Thank you for saying what needs to be said - very few people get what is happening and tonight, no one said it but you. Probably a good thing to fly under the radar!
The margin narrowed as the results from Nassau County came in. Per WaPo this morning it is 53.9 v. 46.1 with 93% of votes counted. But still extremely impressive considering Santos won in 2022 by about the same margin. That is a tremendous swing.
Hopefully it shows the GOP that shouting "Immigration! Border is out of Control!" while simultaneously trying to sabotage the Biden administration from doing anything iabout it isn't playing well outside of the Fox News Bubble!
It also shows the power of talking to voters on a one-on-one basis and making a connection.
We can all celebrate this amazing win! Thank you Simon for bringing us the facts and blunting the false narratives-- every single day. We are strong and motivated! Onward!
Well said, Simon. Thank you for your leadership and for being so consistently upbeat even in the tough moments…especially in the tough moments. Thank you.
Well said! This one was a tough one in NY with the polls calling it a tossup! Simon definitely kept my spirits up. And the victory was a 10 point margin! And in a snowstorm. Epic! ❤️🤍💙
I ditto everyone's comments -- especially Aww Shucks! :-)Thank you Simon for your great focus, leadership and clarity -- give us a sense of control, in spite of everything -- and I send a HUGE Thank You to all the Democracy Warriors in this community! Wow, what a force.
I just wish we could now coalesce this power and ignite a fire under a few progressive Oligarchs -- maybe they could help out Ukraine at this time of dire need. Seems there are no more rules, so why not? Wouldn't that surprise Moscow Mike et al??
Thank YOU! You are my North Star. I keep referring people to you and once they sign up, they all agree how much deep value you are providing. And too, you keepi us centered and sane as we channel our activism in high yield ways. 🙏
So well said Sally: 100% agree.
Couldn’t agree more!
Awwww. Shucks!
What you said about not willing to let our democracy slip away, not willing to let our rights be taken away, all true.
Actually I feel really energized. Onward to the next victory!

Are you sure😉
Indeed! You were awesome as usual tonight, Simon. Thank you for forging this Hopium community. The force is with us!!!
You did! I saw it Live! The next time it is appropriate, you should talk about your Hopium Community on MSNBC and tell more people to join us!
Agree!

Energized, Thankful, and even more ...as you said....HUNGRY! (turn anger into hunger:)
We are channeling rage into results!!!
Brilliant!!! I love this idea RAGE into RESULTS...through the power of love - not the mushy romantic kind, but the powerful, all encompassing love that Dr. King spoke of - "Hatred cannot drive out hatred; only love can do that." ❤️
Definitely, that should go on a t-shirt.
I am a HUNGRY woman...hear me roar, in numbers too big to ignore!!!! (Thanks to Helen Reddy!)
I have been thinking of Helen Reddy too lately! She influenced so many women of several generations to trust our own strength. I think she'd be proud of all of us.
Yes, she did. And I think she would be too!
That felt so good, thank you! We grassroots activists almost never get acknowledged at all, so that big call out felt really great!
Acknowledged and earned gratitude in every way for such tremendous teamwork! Thank you all for the door knocks, phone calls & post cards. Some of us can only contribute dollars but together look at the results!
There's NO ONLY!!! Every bit of support adds so much energy to the whole effort - we are unstoppable now!!!

Acknowledged? Heck, you are my favorite Super Hero!
Jessica- agree. The media and the polls keep missing because they are looking at the wrong things. They need to turn around and SEE what we are doing!
Grassroots power - all those postcards, knocks and calls! Thank you for saying what needs to be said - very few people get what is happening and tonight, no one said it but you. Probably a good thing to fly under the radar!
We are hiding in plain sight.
Exactly!!!
What wonderful news . So happy and so looking forward to the next one 😊👍
So proud to be a part of this movement. Thank you for all you do.
55??
