Excellent, illuminating talk with Katie, Simon, thank you both so much!! And tonight's subscriber talk was inspired and inspiring. The Callais decision could've been reason to feel massively defeated, but you framed it in such a way as to make us feel hopeful, that Dems are already laying the groundwork in many more states, that we have to be competitive even against the odds...it was brilliant and timely and purposeful. Thank you so much.
Also, your whole sidebar on the Southern Strategy of the '60s was fascinating, and I wish it could be transcribed somewhere. The fact that Roberts, Barrett, and Kavanaugh were all lawyers in FL fighting for Bush to be handed the presidency by that 5-4 decision in 2000, well that was news to me. The level of corruption in this Roberts court is even deeper than I'd thought. "Venal and malevolent...with a pleasant face" I believe was your approximate descriptor of Roberts? Totally accurate, and I hope history tells the truth about him and his cohorts.

It was news to me as well about Roberts, Barrett and Kavanaugh. And brings home how important this fight for our democracy is. It's really been going on for many years, but I certainly didn't know it and I think most other people didn't either.
There is simply so much we don't know, and the more I learn, the more I realize how calculated, long-planned, and interwoven all this corruption has been. Far, far beyond my comprehension; but of course, I didn't study this in school and I don't work in politics. Simon has a huge knowledge base, and I could listen to and learn from him for hours...but he's busy helping us win elections, the most important task. Historical understanding will have to wait. 🙏
What about challenging Blanche's and Bondi's law licenses through their respective Bar Associations? Can't anyone file for their disbarment? https://substack.com/home/post/p-195042922
If we win both houses of Congress by large enough margins can they pass new voting rights legislation to nullify the egregious rulings of the Supreme Court?
You can do it through Hopium. At the end of Simon's daily essay here on the Hopium Chronicles he has a section that exhorts everyone to "get to work"! Read through there and he will tell you about all the candidates we are supporting, including the Georgia judge candidates and it will have a link directly to Act Blue through Hopium. Then you will be part of the totals Simon cites for our candidates. You could also do it through each candidate's websites if you prefer but this is easy and accrues to what Hopium is doing.
