Simon - I'm so glad you brought up the issue of being desperately supportive of Israel and Jews, but also desperately against Bibi for years and especially in the past few years. The people of Israel and the world Jews have been harmed and marginalized and murdered for a thousand years. I will always support them. But Bibi has not been good for Israel or the Jewish community in my opinion. AND the Palestinians as human beings on this earth also deserve self-rule and agency and land that is home. I'm anxious to see us talk all this through. It's important for our family!

AMAZING accomplishments! I double dog dare anyone to point to a R officeholder or candidate who can hold a candle to what Dr. Acton has done. The one theme that runs through all the great candidates Simon has interviewed is a history of demonstrated SERVICE to others in their communities. No grifters. No "me firsters." No "what's in it for me, personally" folks. So proud to be supporting them.
My folks came from Ohio and I still have many relatives there. This interview made me so proud, and so sad. Proud because Dr. Acton reminds me of the kind of people I knew as a child. Smart, kind, determined, and honest. The corruption that has occurred in Ohio makes me sick, and I know that it has been going on for a long time. I am going to forward this to my cousin, who still lives on what remains of the family farm. My grandfather was a staunch Republican, but during the Depression, he gave away milk to anyone in town who needed it. My grandmother, when she finally got the vote, routinely voted to cancel his. We need to win this one. Dr. Acton's opponent not only made that cruel and baseless comment about Ohioans, but I believe he also said he was going to replace Ohioans with "motivated, educated people from India." Such a guy.
Dr. Acton IS the American dream coming from hardship to serve Ohioans as a doctor. We need public servants like her who know how important our public education and health system can save and enhance lives.
