In Iowa Democrats now have a fighting chance to retake the Governor's mansion, a US Senate seat, and 3 US house seats. It's become one of our most important battleground states this cycle
Thank you for interviewing our candidates and helping Iowans to turn the tide. We’re literally sick because of bad environmental conditions. We remain hopeful!
What a concept--standing up for what's right, even when you stand alone. Thanks, Rob Sand, for standing up for what's right. Hopium stands with you, so you're not alone.
I lived in my original home state, Iowa, again from 2020-2024 after 31 years in Dallas. I lived just a few miles from Decorah, and let me tell you, Everyone knows and likes Rob. He is known as honest, never-giving-up, and super hard working. As Auditor, he visits all 99 counties every year and speaks about honesty in government. I was mad at him for not running 4 years ago, but he was right to wait until this year. He deserves all of our excitement for this November. Rob is da man.
Rob Sand is amazing. Thank you for another wonderful interview. As you have been saying, Simon, we have candidates who are right for their particular constituency. Rob is the epitome of that. So happy to support him and Iowa dems generally through Hopium.
May those Iowans who have been led into temptation beware. Rob Sand is leading in the polls. He will continue to lead you to prosecution and lead Iowa in representing the people, building a better farm economy, and providing a healthier environment. In his own words, Rob will stay focused on the priorities of:
I happen to know Decorah! I visited a college friend and her family at their place there. It seems like a place that produces decent people. I hope the poll takers are correct about what they are seeing.
Crop rotation is a good metaphor for political parties. Single party control breeds corruption if it lasts too long; accountability is hard to have without the prospect of turnover. The dirty secret of gerrymandering is voters have less control.
Impressive candidate!
Being from Iowa this interview touched me. I like this guy and want him to win.

I saw him interviewed before, I think it was by Trippi. He's a fantastic candidate.
Is there an equation we can do that puts a figure on just how much 'better' our candidates are than theirs?
Until then, 'Gaping Chasm' will have to suffice!!
Thank you for this interview, Simon! I'm excited to work to get Rob and our other excellent candidates elected!
This guy rules--can we clone him?
