HOWEVER, I would like to point out that Georgia has THREE State Supreme Court races on the ballot. The third justice is Ben Land, who was appointed to the court last summer by Republican Governor Brian Kemp.
Unfortunately, Justice Ben Land did not draw a challenger. That means this conservative anti-abortion judge is sure to remain on Georgia’s highest court for another term. Reminder: Justice Land helped keep Georgia’s near-absolute abortion ban on the books!
This neglect underscores how important it is for Democrats to run a challenger in *every* race – especially state supreme court races and other elected judgeships.

Excellent point. Then this race is even more important because it will show potential judicial candidates that there will be support for them if they run. I happily donated to the fund.
Virginia Democrats fielded a dem challenger for every state leg seat in 2025, but because of limited donations and money, the challengers in deep red districts had trouble raising even $5000. Charles Gaba stepped up and started a Long Shot fund just for them.
If we want dem candidates to run in every race, no matter how tough, then we have to show them they will get support. It's not enough to just have a candidate and then throw them to the wolves. GOP is still outraising Dems by 7:1, despite their party and their candidates being putrid.
This is a first step in contesting judicial elections, not the last.

The ugly of Trump has brought out so many great local and national candidates for us - what if we began to create a brand new democracy here once we have all the branches? These patriotic ladies have made me start to dream. Just donated to these fine women.
