With strong candidates at the top of the ticket and a deeply unpopular governor Ohio has turned into one of our most important battleground states this year
Hi Chair Kathleen Clyde, thank you for having this conversation with Simon! I have always loved Sherrod Brown. He will be a great Senator, and, I'm sure Amy Acton will be a great Governor!
I know you're working very hard to get Ohio back to what it should be!
So, go Kick-Ass Kathleen, You can do it! And, We will help turn Ohio Blue!!
Many thanks to you Simon, and Ohio Democratic Party Chair Kathleen Clyde! I have renewed hope. Ohio desperately needs Dr. Amy Acton for Governor and Sherrod Brown back in his role as senator. Appointed Senator Jon Husted only cares about pleasing Trump, not acting in the best interest of his constituents.
Thanks for this interview. Kathleen Clyde is a modest person, definitely doesn't shine the light on herself. Then I read her bio - wow! What a powerhouse! Ohio is very fortunate to have someone like her leading the Ohio Democratic Party. When she decides to pass the baton on leading the Ohio Democratic Party, it sounds like she would be an excellent addition to the state leadership. In the meantime, Ohio will get her leadership in turning Ohio blue! I am very motivated now to continue my donations to the 3-way split in Ohio.
So thankful you've featured and introduced us to so many great state D Chairs. In Iowa, Florida, NC, Texas, Maine, Alaska, Ohio--these are the folks on the frontlines every day, doing the hard work. Organizing, fundraising, recruiting and supporting candidates, mediating among various personalities and interest groups to keep our coalition together and moving in the same direction. It's a HUGE job. Your shining a spotlight on these Chairs helps us understand how many efforts are ongoing--some more visible than others--to compete everywhere and win anywhere. People who complain that the D Party is feckless, stands for nothing and does nothing should watch these great interviews with our Party Chairs and candidates.
Reporting on action: The League of Women Voters of New York State | NY BIPOC Democracy Table teams hosted a "We Won't Go Back" Advocacy Day on April 21. We met with NYS Assembly members to inform & ask for co-sponsorship or support on 6 bills introduced this legislative session ...all to protect and expand democracy for all New Yorkers, especially among communities of color. It was a rewarding experience. Anyone can request a meeting with State Legislators but it's more impactful to connect with a group like the League (we are non partisan) and those representing your communities. Start now to be sure voting rights are protected in your state!
Don’t forget the folks in Northern Mn. We will have Pete Stauber Congressional seat 8 in the fall.🙂 Keep up you fantastic work! We are with you all the way.👍😊

Just what I needed to hear. I am working on Ohio for my elections group. Great news. Can't stop working until until the Dems win.

Thank you Simon and Kathleen. Both great candidates running. I’ll support however I can.
Interesting to hear about the unbelievable corruption. Was not aware.

Why, why, why???
We went to vote in the Primary there are no Democratic challengers for the 12th District Court of Appeals!!
Two Republicans running without a challenge in THE YEAR when voters will vote blue across the ballot.
What happened?
