Another great interview in the list of "good for what ails you" interviews. Seems like a perfect candidate for a district that is primed to flip. You don't go from selling plasma to make ends meet to a prestigious law school without a hell of a lot of grit and determination, which I suspect he got from his mom. I suspect we'll be hearing a lot more from this young man in the years to come.

Mainer on the Ground - Things are looking good for Our Boy Troy!
How can I express on behalf of my state my gratitude to Simon and all of you? It is overwhelming to see the support coming in for Troy Jackson.
I believe the Maine Dems pulled off the miracle of getting the process right. 17 days, 9 candidates, nearly 18,000 dem voters, 600 delegates resulted in 1 candidate, who took it in a landslide. I am seeing progress on the ground with angry disenfranchised voters coming around to unifying behind Troy. I do not believe any other candidate could have done that. I have been contacted by so many people who were lukewarm, really on board for someone else, or skeptical about Troy as the candidate that can take Collins out. They is nearly unanimous enthusiasm.
On the ground in Maine, we are organizing. We are singularly focused. We are determined. Susan Collins must be held to account for her betrayal of Mainers and the American people. She does not deserve another term as Maines US Senator.
I was interviewed today for a podcast. One question asked was can Troy win without the charisma Platner had. My response was he was his own charisma, authenticity and leading with the heart.
Full of hopium tonight. Looking forward to seeing Chris Hayes interview our boy Troy tonight. He's getting a lot of practice as his dance card seems to be filling up rather quickly.
This is awesome, Jennifer, congratulations!! And excellent answer about charisma. I actually like Troy's way of speaking; he's authentic, a real Mainer. He might not light an instant fire, but he won't flame out either. He has substance and experience and he's not fighting his own party. That's huge. I didn't like that about his predecessor.

Agree. I loved that Troy didn't try to be all slick. He was himself. Or least that is how it looked. I think he does have charisma - just a different kind. Not flashy, just folksy charisma. He is a great candidate. He really does seem to care.
Ok, Troy has had better interviews. He seemed exhausted. I am not sure about the hat, lol. I want to remind people that he was elected to the National Honor Society in high school, did get an Associate's degree and was president of the Maine senate. He has fire and energy. Just a quick post interview mini analysis.

Maybe he should rest and not do so many interviews, but I get the pressure he must be under. I didn't see the interview.
I have never been to Maine and am now considering looking into a vacation there if I can put it together.
