And all of what is put in the summary indicates substantial increases in food prices. No one can avoid that, and food is an inelastic demand (even more than gas and diesel), and increasing prices hurt the poor and middle class the most significantly.
Have watched Mayor Molder from my perch in Knoxville, TN. He's a great guy and has done an outstanding job as Mayor of Columbia. Andy Ogles, on the other hand, is a menace to good governance and deserves to be booted from office. Thanks, Simon, for bringing us another inspiring interview with a D candidate Hopium can be proud to support!
Watching from Sequatchie County, TN back of Signal Mountain. Wish I were in TN- 05 instead of TN-O4. Still want to volunteer to help Mayor Molder win Congress. A few months ago, I read Sheryl Crowe's post about how she calls Andy Ogle's office every day to voice her concerns about him and Trump. She should really be part of the Hopium Community because that's what we do.
I hope she does a show or a GOTV for Molder. I'm sure other Nashville musicians would gladly help out. I've donated to Molder through Hopium. Getting ready to do it again. So excited for TN-05
If you google 'roots of cult like behavior' you will find some proximate explanations. At some point in human evolution it was no doubt advantageous to 'follow the leader' without questioning authority. Seems pretty maladaptive in today's world.
Molder sounds great, like the kind of good moderate Democrat Tennessee used to send to Congress all the time, especially in the Nashville area. It makes no sense for the Volunteer State to be so solidly red these days, and I hope candidates like Molder can start turning things around.
Molder is impressive. He packs a lot into a few minutes.
I loved when Simon raised Trump's issues and Molder respectfully and masterfully just brought it immediately around to his opponent and how politics is local.
Stays on message. Knows his message. Knows how to communicate his message.
I remember his opponent's Christmas card. Just donated again. He seems like a great candidate, a proven winner, and I love that regional accent. Can't wait to see him sworn in!
Thank you Simon, for this great interview with Mayor Chaz Molder! I can tell he is definitely special. Down to earth, but interesting, intelligent, and will not have a problem winning his seat in Congress.
I am a native Californian trying to find a candidate for Governor!! I had to Google Becerra to find out who he is and why I should give him my money! I listen to you all the time and I’m surprised that California is more important.
As CA AG: "Becerra - Let’s talk about the Exxon chatter because there's a big difference between a PR stunt and a legal victory. Back when Becerra was AG, some folk were upset that he didn't launch a massive, loud 'fraud' investigation into Exxon like New York did. But here is what really happened: 1. He didn't 'let them off”, he changed the strategy. New York’s high-profile fraud case against Exxon actually failed in court. Becerra saw that coming. 2. He fought the 'Shadow War' instead. While people were looking for one big headline, Becerra was winning dozens of smaller battles that cost oil companies way more. He blocked Exxon’s attempts to move these cases to friendly federal courts, keeping them right here in California where they can be held accountable 3. He focused on the rules that hurt them TODAY. He spent his energy suing the EPA to stop them from letting Exxon and others skip out on air pollution rules during the pandemic. Some politicians want the 'Exxon Knew' headline. Becerra wanted the 'Exxon Paid' result. 4. He doesn't do 'performative' law; he does the quiet, gritty work that actually protects our air and water. Remember, he’s not flashy. But he gets the best outcomes for the people and personally I can't think of anyone who has done more in this space than him."
and another: "Hilton and Bianco are Republican candidates. Becerra, our former AG, Congressional Rep, and Cabinet member now is the leading Democrat. Betty Yee, our former Controller, ended her campaign today..."
Thank you, Simon, for this set of interviews with the talented crop of new Democratic candidates. This helps bolster my confidence in the future governance of our great Nation. And, reinforces the value of my contributions to these candidates through Hopium.

I've been watching from Seymour. Happy to support Mayor Molder.

Good luck Mr. Molder. Thank you for running and speaking up for your state.
Why do they continue to believe Traitor after being punched in the gut over and over again?

This guy is a winner. Glad to support him.
I've been watching this race in my home state with Chaz Molder. Excited to be able to contribute~!!!

Remind folks when you ask for their vote, that it is the House that is responsible for the Budget
