The webinar is great, and your ideas are terrific. Have you thought of including toolkits in your email to help us spread the word? You have some good blurbs on the economy and job growth, for example. If you shipped some social tiles and made them easy to post, it would be a great way to do what you are saying - get some amplification. Getting more specific about how we create, share, promote content (the details, along with the tools) would also be a great way to empower your audience.

Loved the briefing today. Two things to comment on. First, you’ve mentioned that there are things you want to work on. But you are only one person. So let’s figure out how we can help you. Lots of talent in this group who can take some of the ideas and work on them. Smaller groups perhaps? Second, I really think your idea to get the national and state parties involved in registering voters is crucial. With all the state shenanigans it will take some spearheading by the party.

I had written off FL and just generally ignore happenings there. But you made a compelling argument with a pathway that I will pay attention to.

Same here-we can do this!

Great briefing today. You give me Hopium in Florida!

Would love it if you could address how to converse about the economy with those who are financially struggling. Low unemployment, job growth + does not register.

Big government changes sometimes takes time to reach the level of the individual, but voting for those who make changes that will create betterment in time is better than voting for those who will cause worse outcomes in time. If you have some specific, local economic issues it might help to inform voters of how those might help individuals more quickly.

Just read How Trump Could Win by Brian Klass and was hoping you had some good counter arguments to his potential theories.

Trump can win. No candidate loses an election. We have to beat them. Winning or losing in this case is up to us. We have to keep working hard.

The Republican voters are unevenly split between the larger part wanting Trump and the smaller part wanting a different candidate. There is a group of Republican voters who will not vote for Trump again, siphoning off some of his previous support. Adding this portion of voters to the increasing number of independent voters (the largest voting bloc) who won’t vote for Trump, plus the larger turnout by Democratic leaning voters with Trump as a candidate, and the bump from new, young voters makes it unlikely that Trump would win in a general. There are no new Trump voters, while there is an untapped resource of new voters who likely lean Democratic. Turnout is still key in ‘24 as it was in the last few elections, which means everyone needs to be involved in donating and helping Democratic candidates and registration drives, beginning now. Have you thought about how you can help?

Great to hear you yesterday with Commit to Democracy. Love the young people centered messaging proposal.

Young people need facts and information that is easily understood, imho. A page or list of daily, weekly, monthly facts/stories directly impacting young people and their future, coupled with some simple ways for them to engage, would be a great way to get their attention, keep their interest and get the distracted and demoralized inspired to participate.

Participation is the key to harmony. Having a way to meaningfully engage and understanding what is going on...these are hooks that will work for young and old alike.

Simon so inspired by your perspective! There's a lot to unpack, so I'm looking forward to watching again today. Think this would benefit from key points being written for follow up & sharing, but you podcast is SO impactful. Have already shared in a number of active social media communities & intend to share 1 on 1 with every warrior & concerned friend. Been following you on Twitter for quite some time, but your vision for Hopium is next level. Thank you for bringing your clarity & hope, it's spot on & infectious!

As far as starting to think about a youth voter registration bonanza:

1. replicate what Teddy Landis did in Wisconsin everywhere

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/04/11/wisconsin-liberal-youth-vote/

2. take more advantage of pre voter registration

3. test out new strategy in the few swing house/senate districts in Virginia leading up the crucial elections here in November

We do not have Spanish language content here yet. But that is something that will be possible in the future if we can keep growing our community, and more money comes in.

Hi Hopium family, Just watched following link from International US Intelligence expert Malcolm Nance discussing his book ‘They want to kill Americans’ from 9mo ago. All proceeds of his book going to International Legion to which he has fought along side Ukrainians on behalf of worldwide democracy! Fernand Amandi dem strategist asks the questions in this excellent interview. It truly helps give insight into how and why we need to unite dems and turn out new and ‘lazy’ (i have certainly been one) voters who haven’t been educated on the depth of the message of TITUS (tRump insurrection of the us) and its grasp. About 27min in and through the q&a he truly echoes Simon’s points and gives excellent ACTION ideas and practical advice for us moving forward. It is interesting this was before last election, but it is EVERGREEN clarity about how to be fearless and empowered by OUR NUMBERS to peacefully take back our democracy with the vote. Organizing and Marching are top for him. Curious on any thoughts from the family here. It is deep, but has Hopium for sure! But we must act. Share info Warriors, if you agree. Peace, love and action. Thanks

Ironically speaking of US intelligence experts, here is an intro to the Bi-Partisan Mission Democracy PAC on Joy Reid that are targeting ads into UltraMAGA reps home districts. I guess I am glad they are doing this, but I can see that if you don’t have a big budget for donation, as Simon has said, giving to the actual candidate campaigns has most ‘bang for the buck’. Thoughts? Peace, share and act.
