I wish he would comment on the AWS relationship he has with Data Centers trying to establish themselves in rural PA and the residents have had to fight to uncover what is going on and they are against them. Shouldn’t it all be transparent, no NDAs, and the communities most affected get a say in this? According to a recent Philadelphia Inquirer article, Governor Shapiro is very cozy with Amazon but he represents the citizens of PA.
Simon, I am aware of this but he continues with his staff to promote AWS data centers in rural communities without their input. These communities have had to fight tooth and nail to uncover what is happening. These data centers when built carry water and electricity issues for local residents. I like it that he gets things done but he needs to have a process that addresses the needs of the people the progress affects. I am not refuting the good things he has done but he has this issue with Pennsylvanians and I think it is important for him to be fully transparent about his relationship with AWS. He sees the data centers as an economic boom to PA but the people in rural communities are not onboard it seems. They should not be bulldozed over.
Pat I’m going to proceed as if you are acting in good faith here, but the Governor’s proposal, which is not yet law, would help address much if what you raise here. If you live in PA perhaps you can help him pass it!
I will always consider PA my home. I lived in Philadelphia for over 50 years. I keep up with PA news and politics and I have friends there working on this. We all want Josh to suceed and we do not want him dealing with AWS without full transparency. I am confident he will address the situation. We need the rural voters. PA Dems feel betrayed by Fetterman so they need to see Josh as transparent. I now live in god-forsaken Louisiana where we are signing recall petitions for the governor and attorney general. I wish I was in Philadelphia but New Orleans is home now.

We all need to focus on what we want our nation to look like after we rid ourselves of this white Christian nationalist regime that has hijacked our federal government and is actively trying to assault our people with divisive rhetoric and hateful lies in order to keep us from getting in their way as they rob us in broad daylight and blame The Other for our suffering and hardship. I think everyone feels that Governor Shapiro has an very important part to play in this Election. He is a Great Guy and well loved in Pennsylvania, and I'm sure elsewhere.

Another excellent interview with a compassionate and effective leader. But everyone hearing this should be outraged beyond belief that a governor and other state leaders have to spend time gaming out what to do to protect their citizens from the attacks they may face from their own sitting president. It is just so painful to see that we have come to this.
I want to report that I just put on the second in a series of forums informing our community about how changes in federal priorities are affecting their lives. This forum was titled "What has Science done for me LATELY", and featured 3 local scientists talking about how their research is positively impacting our community. It was co-sponsored by Stand up for Science. It was well attended and well received, plus it was videoed by our local cable network. Health care is next........if we can find speakers.

Read and bring to city council and county gov’t representatives. In rural communities.
Get $$$ to protect, as much as possible all living n area!! There is MUCH unknown about human bodies reacting to electromagnetic fields.
