Senator Booker is an inspiration to us all. Live on YouTube now over 22 hours with no bath breaks, food or ability to leave the podium. This is our Democratic nominee for President!!

This is the most inspirational event that I have witnessed in many years possibly going back to President Obama. Unbelievable stamina. I wonder if Trump could play 18 holes without taking a piss. He can’t even walk to the green from his cart which he drives on the green.

I watched several hours -- at least 5 or 6 hours -- throughout the day, and many times inspired to tears. As he went on, he seemed to bring out the BEST of the other Democrats who engaged him with questions. For me, this is a VERY proud day as an American.

How do we get back at the Republican Congressmen and Senators for allowing Trump to get away with the damage he is causing?

No vengeance! That is oh so Trumpian! We’re bigger than that and it’s time to unite

Invite them to join us

It has nothing to do with vengeance (perhaps "get back at" is a poor choice of words). It's demanding that they do their jobs, uphold their oaths, and exercise checks and balances.

Thank you, John for clarifying what I was trying to say.

That is what I meant to infer. We need to find a way to connect with that side of the argument and get them to recognize the damage they are allowing will comeback and bite them, for what. Because they want to keep their jobs? If they keep this up, their own constituents will primary them. And then what. Their community will shun them for their actions. Not the way to do this.

Congressman Beyer-Idea-Gather 3 or 4 Reps and each one talks about 1 item that was news from the Trump campaign yesterday, and have them dissect it on a Substack created just for their discussions outlooks

Beyer is my US Representative and I do appreciate him, but I have to say I cringed when he referred to “naive constituents” asking him to pass a law to end this all. It’s our collective job as Democrats to educate voters, not to blame them for not understanding how the system works.

Beyer is one of the good guys. And I love the Virginia flag with 4 Goddesses, one on the front and three on the back.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

I would hope that every American of goodwill -- who truly loves our country -- will commit that name to memory.

Garcia is a man -- NOT from Venezuela, and certainly not part of any gang -- who was in our country LEGALLY -- and who was rounded up and sent to El Salvador by an "administrative error." Zero "due process."

the Trump regime claims they cannot get him back. The master of Greenland can't make a deal?

Perhaps... they can't get him back because the "deal" was to have the Salvadorans kill everyone they handed over. WE handed over.

Does anyone out there have ANY understanding or grasp of the seriousness of this?

Kilmar Abrego Garcia,

My money is still on Sanders /AOC. We heard from them from the start, we know what they stand for in spite of the condescentions from Pelosi,et al, to keep them out of the party's machinations, which have proven to be miserable stands-back inertia. Their constant and consistent positioning prove they are not providing calculated rhetoric to save their own ass as required as events unfold. I think most voting democrats and independents want a new, changed, more vibrantly visible party. Hope is not a tactic.

So NOW Speaker Johnson is suddenly worried about conforming to the US Constitution? Hell hath no fury like these women scorned.

" 'We said don't f*** with moms,' Rep. Brittany Pettersen, D-Colo., said on the steps of the U.S. Capitol alongside Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla."

My 82 year old Rep. Rosa DeLauro is constantly doing videos on Twitter, Bluesky and TikTok. Everyday she is posting 1 or 2 videos on those platforms. Hearing her speak rather than reading her posts is a stronger way to message.
