Off topic a bit, but we kicked ass in the Lincoln, NE city general election last night......Dems won mayor, 3 of 4 open city council seats, and a clean sweep of all 3 open school board seats.....terrible night for MAGA in the capital city of a very red state! 😎👍

Thanks! We have to win everywhere we can and take pride in accumulating that political real estate....sometimes the best we can do is dilute the power of the GOP somewhere, but it’s worth it!

Also, Laura Brill caught my note about supporting the youth voters and she sent me lots of info about the very impressive work her group is doing. I’m really looking forward to her event. It seems to hit a bulls eye for the work Simon is encouraging to get us to 55%. A retired teacher friend in Santa Cruz is eager to get started in her community and another friend in Salinas ( California) wants to support the Hispanic youth/ voter registration at local high schools.
People want to DO something. It’s great this forum exists to share info, contacts and resources. And thanks for setting out a unifying high priority vision Simon.

Another strong candidate! We really need to field some great candidates there for State Supreme Court over the next couple of cycles and win that majority back so we can unfuck the gerrymandering and voter suppression efforts
Amen! From your lips to GOD’s ears Steve! I heard that just from the felony 180 from the NC SSC decision Friday that affects 56,000 felon (potential)voters in NC. And if a felon voted last year, and assumes they can vote this year, it is possible they could be in more trouble, like another felony! Even if they innocently didn’t know the bad law came back. (Visions of FL Poll Police)
NC Board of Elections isn’t even likely to NOTIFY these voters. Just on election day if they show the rolls should be flagged.
And I can PRAY the new maps done this summer will be fair..... But sure ain’t holding my breath. I feel NC is teetering on the edge of a bin with good states like TX, FL, TN, MT, SC others in the South with just blatant, shameful, cheating, lying and scheming corrupt R’s driving our states off the edge.
