My Discussion With Donna Deegan - We were lucky enough to be joined yesterday by Donna Deegan, who is fighting to reclaim Florida’s largest city from the Republicans. You can watch the video and learn how to support Donna’s campaign here. For those who want to write postcards, my understanding is she is now up on the Postcards to Voters site.

Hope everyone here will take one step to help her in the coming days - donate, make calls, write postcards - whatever you can do. This race is all about turnout and these tactics are proven to drive up turnout in the early vote which begins on May 1st, and on Election Day, May 16th, itself.

Hopium in the Washington Post on the Potential of the Youth Vote - In a great new Washington Post column today Jennifer Rubin cites analysis from our “Get to 55” memo:

The implications for 2024 are eye-opening, according to Simon Rosenberg, a Democratic pollster who pre-bunked the 2022 red wave. “Projecting forward,” he writes on Substack, “keeping the 2020 vote constant, but now [adjusting] upward for the growth of [Gen Z and Millennial] generations into the electorate,” he found, these two segments could rise to 37 percent of all voters. The result would be a national margin for Democrats of 6 percent.
