Simon:

I want you to be appropriately armed - to the teeth. What kind of sandwiches should I send you from Zabar's? Or, do you want a bunch of frankfurters from Gray's Papaya? They might be easier to aim, and Lord knows they're economical.

Thanks for interviewing Kendall Scudder, TX Democratic Party Chairman, Simon! He is young and passionate and will activate new voters, especially young and Hispanic voters.

He’s our hope for future gains in the state legislature and above.

All Blue districts should seriously be considering the Resolutions project as a priority at this time. He's threatening to interfere not just on the streets of Blue cities, but in our local elections. It seems that opposition to his overreach must be memorialized and the public engaged to maximize efforts.

And in the process, people remember all the abuses and usurpations (they're coming at us fast; easy to forget), learn more, articulate more what's happening. Building skill and understanding strengthens the movement. I'd say worth trying anywhere. If people vote no, they're on the record voting against whatever a particular resolution is about.

Yes, my point exactly, so thanks for that. It's a process in which the public is engaged and appeals to their higher executive function of what is right and wrong, what is "American," what is best for the community of which they/their children are a part, and that strength in numbers is still a most powerful "thing."

I have been looking at a few days that I can possibly clear my work calendar and try to make appointments at local offices of my reps (if everyone isn't on vacation), and walk in with Boston's resolution in hand (I can't be sure they ever saw it when I've tried to mail/email it to them). My city council member has her office right here, and our state sen, while not as closely located, will also likely be the next Manhattan borough president. But it's Nadler I really have to get to, and I just have to make the time to show up at his office or try to make an appointment. But, I am determined to do it. I realize that this sort of issue might be better suited for one official over another, but they seem to work in close concert (for years now) because they've been around for so long.

Suggestion: If you draft a resolution specific for your City Council Member instead, and bring it to them as a potential sponsor, it means less work for them and makes it easier to say "Yes!" to sponsor and revise as they choose.

No, this move is significant in that Trump is defying the recent ruling and adding additional troops in the wake of a disastrous “summit” with Putin — the situation can never be normalized — it’s boldfaced defiance

In honor of my late husband's birthday, I just donated to all five Hopium campaigns. Yesterday I focused my calls to Tillis and Budd on the horrible photo of our servicemen rolling out the red carpet for Putin and how it symbolizes the administration's treatment of our military and veterans. Today I will talk about tariffs. And now on to final preparations for the new semester!

Simon, I wish you a fantastic vacation! And a happy birthday to your son.

Jane, have you scanned Mobilize for your area to stay up on events? I think that's the easiest place to find them all, or at least most. There's a bit of an August lull on big protests, but there are rallies in sync with Visibility Brigade, Social Security Works, and the DNC. The next big coalition protest day is Sept 1, Labor Day, led by unions.

For the summer, there's been a focus on building understanding and tactics via the No Kings Coalition online non-compliance trainings. Have you participated? Over 250,000 people have so far.

More irony to the DC conundrum. Talk about how Trump is cutting programs that help support first responders and law enforcement. Just wrote about that in my latest post on Saturday. Still remember when he tried cutting the COPS Program in 2019, or something like that. Fact check me, but pretty sure I saw a good article on that before.

I've been involved with a local Indivisible group since Feb. I started doing Tesla Takedown protests, No Kings, Good Trouble. Other Indivisible groups have targeted GOP reps offices. Yesterday some were at David Schweikarts (AZ) office protesting changes to Social Security. There was a large protest yesterday at the state capitol in Phoenix. Our latest target is Fox. We've been doing Fox Takedown car caravans for three weeks now. First week we had 7 cars, last week 11-12. Yesterday we had 20 with two motorists joining off the street. Next week the hope is at least 50 cars, enough for local media to pay attention. We end our caravan at a local Fox affiliate office where they've had the local police sit in front of their building until October. Since I'm in the Phoenix area, October is when the weather starts cooling down. That's why there are fewer outdoor protests because of the heat. You have to start early in the morning. The photo of Taco Don sans makeup shows what a sickly, pathetic old man he really is.

Georgia has a population of about 11 million. My county -- Cobb -- is nearing 800,000.

In 2016, Cobb voted for Hilary over Trump -- a first for a Democrat. (We've been here since the Mondale-Reagan campaigns.) Biden won by an even bigger margin than Hillary. Kamala by even a bigger margin than Biden.

My county is run by a Commission -- with five commissioners. I am thinking they would be a good choice for the Resolution.

My county is gerrymandered into THREE congressional districts: Lucy McBath holds the southern 25% drawing west to east. And then above that, is split in half ... Marjorie Taylor Greene to the west, and magalackey Barry Loudermilk (my rep) to the east.

And so, the commissioners adopt the resolution. But how about this ... they also issue some kind of commendation to Representative McBath for her dedication to her oath of office. A kind of open recognition and acknowledgement....

"Hey Barry, I see the Cobb County Commissioners did not include you as someone protecting our Constitution." ... something like that, to move forward.

Please just watch Oxford-trained political philosopher, Vlad Vexler, explain the significance of Alaska: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5K3yp_ns4Ew . He understands the “narcissistic supply” that the Tsar gives to Dolos. So, this weird partnership/co-dependency can no longer be denied.

Yes, Vexler was born in Russia and understands the illiberal dynamics of his former homeland quite well. Yes, we do need to be thoughtful about this nation’s democracy being under serious threat. Yes, it is better to have the mask finally off relative to Dolos and his general admiration for Russia (i.e. to be clear-eyed). Lastly, yes, the Russians are extremely comfortable with Cryptocurrency and its use for laundering money: https://www.cnbc.com/2025/06/09/crypto-russia-laundering.html .
