The Power Of The People Is Greater Than The People In Power
Enjoy photos and reports from Hopium members from across the country
Happy Sunday all. The dynamic we’ve been describing here these past few weeks - Trump is weaker, we are stronger - became far more evident to people across the US and around the world this weekend.
First, look how Rupert Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal portrayed Trump yesterday:
The poll the WSJ references here was one done by his own pollster, Tony Fabrizio, that found Trump’s job approval in an ugly place, 46%-51% (-5), and “Americans souring on his economic plans, even before the latest levies were announced.”
Now, us. We flipped a Trump +15 PA State Senate seat we had not won since the 1880s; blew it out in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race despite Elon’s rancid intervention; overperformed in the 2 FL House races as we’ve been doing in special elections across the country; Congressional Dems are successfully getting their Republican colleagues to join them in challenging Trump, Thune and Johnson more directly; the DNC and House Dems/DCCC have launched their “People’s Town Halls” in red districts; the DNC launched a “People’s Cabinet” on Friday; and Senator Cory Booker lifted all of us up this week, and challenged his colleagues to keep raising the bar, doing more, fight harder and more effectively. As Senator Booker said:
The power of the people is greater than the people in power
In his historic speech Senator Booker told us that it was his constituents who had driven him to do more, fight harder and make this speech. That he had been hearing from people across New Jersey that they expected more from him. Our community has been busting their ass every day contacting our electeds, challenging them to do more. You’ve been heading to Tesla Takedowns and other protests, rallies and Town Halls. Many of you have even helped organize activities in your communities, finding new ways to help us find our voice in this time of extraordinary national challenge. Then came yesterday. Millions of you showed up for your country in a communities large and small. The events were peaceful, spirited, inspiring and where literally everywhere. In our paid subscriber chat yesterday we got wonderful self-reports from Hopium members across the country. We got lots of pictures too. Let’s now review some of them….

Amazing work everyone! We are stronger today and he is weaker.
The power of the people is greater than the people in power.
Rest up, have a Sunday and back at it tomorrow! - Simon
Been thinking that the next set of rallies should be called something like “Rally for America” and lean more into patriotism and the American flag.
July 4th is going to be something this year.
Our Georgian uber driver to the NYC rally thanked us for participating. 3 French tourists on our ferry ride home thanked us. It feels like the world is better and more united when we take a stand to care for one another.
