Thank you. I was a wreck with worry last year at this time because of the " Red Wave". When I read your post in late October or early November, I was somewhat relieved and after the election was elated. We kept Reverend Warnock, Mark Kelley, Jackie Rosen & got John Fetterman. Let's hope this is just more Virginia GOP shenanigans.
What critical security information did Russia & its ally Iran get from Mar a Lago or Maga Republicans in Congress? Let's be honest: Russia has its hands all over the MAGA movement. It's scary.
I so appreciate these words today. Heads down. Pens lifted and write, write, write. Just received a new batch of 200 get-out-the-vote postcards from Tony-the-Democrat. Ones.
In general, yes, Dems in the Virginia legislative elections are lagging in early (in person and mail) voting. After 14 days that early voting has been in effect - 170,964 ballots have been cast - and R districts have gotten out the vote better than the Dems. Of the total 140 House Districts, the Rs lead in 14 of the top 22 with most ballots cast. Conversely, the Dems bring up the rear in 17 of the 23 districts with the fewest ballots cast - so far. About 24 days of early voting remain. Go to VPAP.org to see this for yourselves. So GOTV at the doors will be crucial in this low turnout election.
If you’re out of state and unable to GOTV at the doors🏃🏻♀️, multiple phone banking opportunities available starting today Autodialers so makes it fun and easy !
Well said, Simon. To quote you in a somewhat different context, I would rather be us in the democratic West than the authoritarians on the other side. And, as in the 1930's and 1940's it is the Democratic Party that is leading the effort in America. I appreciate your leadership in fighting for justice and democracy.
Simon I keep hearing that the early vote in VA is stronger in Republican districts. Is this true? If so should we be worried?
Oh no. I hope this is just a rumor.
I haven't got what I consider to be good data in a few days. Will share when I do.
So I just got a private readout and their view was that we are doing better than VPAP suggests, but still have a lot of work to do.

Thank you Simon for repeated doses of Hopium with your concise explanations of these ugly world events. Keep the faith.

Always darkest before the dawn.
Current world crisis should bump people out of complacency - who we elect for leaders matters.
