Oh what a night! Thank you to everyone for each and every action of support that enabled these wins. Appreciate Simon and his good guidance. Let’s continue to “grab em by the voters” and create an electoral blue landslide in 2014! ItsMissDenise

We are on it to make the drive for 55 a reality not just a sound bite.

In Thailand, the youth came out to vote in great numbers and have rejected the autocratic generals that have traditionally led Thailand: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2023/05/17/thailand-youth-election-military-protest-move-forward/ "Psephologists in the United States have long puzzled over the demographic moment when a younger generation of voters will form the single most important critical mass in American elections. In Thailand, it appeared to happen Sunday. Analysts had expected the country’s electorate to reject the military-backed establishment that has been in power since a 2014 coup. But they hadn’t quite predicted the extent to which voters would turn to an upstart faction, powered by Millennial and Gen Z energy." Psephologists is a new word to me. It means the scientific study of elections! Let's hope this turns into a worldwide phenomenon!

As I said last night, I am all in as a Simon Rosenberg follower. I so appreciate your leadership. You and Heather have transformed the way I read the news... helped me turn my anxiety into positive action, along with Indivisible Evanston. I am an optimist at heart so this suits me just fine! I have influenced at least a few people around me.

It’s a new page, created out of wisdom and work. A really different view. How proud everyone should be. Stability and kindness.

I’m thrilled that we won everywhere that we won last night and this year… But I’m even more thrilled that we decided to compete hard. “It’s not the ones that we lose that bother me so much as the ones we don’t suit up for”… In the words of Toby Zigler from the West Wing. I’m confident democracy will prevail because it’s clear to me that the pro democracy coalition is suiting up to play everywhere. I’m proud to be part of it.

It was a great night for democracy. Jay Kuo, interestingly, says that Dem turnout in Jax was disappointing, and that unhappy Republicans and independents got Donna over the finish line. Hopefully, Dems will take heart.

So pleased about Heather Boyd here in PA. This is critical for the PA House to get anything done.

I find it amazing that the Republicans are "unteachable". Whenever the voters come out, whether in Jax, or Colorado Springs, or Kansas (the ballot referendum on choice), or Pennsylvania.....they overwhelmingly reject the Republican extremism and vote D. Yet just yesterday the NC legislature overrode the governor's veto and passed yet another extreme abortion ban. Let them continue so we can teach them more lessons that they won't learn. As Joe Trippi says, they keep doing the crazy and we keep doing the work.

Couldn't agree more! And not only must we be proud of these wins, we must get loud and do so EFFECTIVELY to win the messaging war.

That means always leading with our shared VALUES (most notably freedom) rather than repeating their talking points; and never shying away from calling out MAGA Republicans as the VILLAINS they are and describing their actions [insert your choice here: deny women the freedom to decide if, when or how to start / grow a family, gut social security & Medicare, block common-sense gun safety measures, ban books & American history, etc.] and motivations: to distract/divide while they push for tax cuts for the wealthy, well-connected few and rig the rules for the price-gouging corporations who keep them in power.

Finally, don't forget to end with a VISION of what's possible when we expect AND demand that our government be a force for the common good, by electing Democratic candidates up and down the ballot!

Bravo. I’m heartened by the Dem wins yesterday. The Biden-Harris campaign is reaching outside the traditional network and I’m thrilled with their aggressive Dem positive & accountability messaging. Which elections are next? I’m ready.

Love the victory dance. Let's just keep moving the dial forward. The Right Wing looks to the past. We are looking towards the future.

I wanted to highlight one word in this fabulous essay-flag. We need to take bag the flag. The Union - a pro-democracy coalition is starting a call to action in June to all in the pro-democracy coalition to display our flag. Please do!!!!
