TRUMP HELPS CANADIAN LIBERAL PARTY

As expected, Canadians will go to the polls on April 28 or May 5.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/carney-to-call-election-this-sunday-1.7488444

"According to CBC's Poll Tracker, the Liberals led by [PM Mark] Carney [who recently replaced Justin Trudeau] are leading with 37.7 per cent, compared to Pierre Poilievre's Conservatives who stand just below that at 37.4 per cent support. [However,] the Liberal voter base is spread more evenly across the country, which gives them a distinct advantage in the number of seats they could win over the Conservatives who have concentrated support in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

"The CBC Poll Tracker suggests that if a vote were to take place now, the Liberals could secure 176 seats to the Conservatives 133. That is sufficient for a majority in the House of Commons, which has 338 seats."

Conservatives also face the addition problem that they have no natural coalition partner. On the other hand Liberals, usually align with the New Democrats, the Quebec Bloc and the Greens.

PS. Certainly an open question is how much Trump, with his insane statements and downright hostile policies against our northern neighbor, will unwittingly aid and abet Canada’s Liberals. (A similar dynamic can be seen in numerous countries including Norway, where the ruling Labor Party’s prospects recently have improved dramatically ahead of this autumn’s election.)

The New Republic -- March 20, 2025: "It is perhaps the ultimate demonstration of Trump’s unmitigated ignorance that he may have ruined the prospects of the most Trumpian politician in Canadian history. Trump’s unjustified and inexcusable attack on Canada’s sovereignty has reversed the very political trends that have developed in Canada over the last several years that might have been to his advantage."

I had an especially good day yesterday. I attended a lunch with Senator Patty Murray. Imagine my surprise when I ended up seated directly across the table from the Senator. I was able to suggest A Letter to Americans, a Daily Press Conference and also shout out Hopium Chronicles as my favorite source for information and action plans. She was definitely open/intrigued but seemed bogged down by the idea that there isn’t a democratic leader. I could’ve debated that idea as an obstacle but it wasn’t the right venue. So, maybe a seed was planted? I will follow up with calls for sure. Also, highly recommend FactPost News that Simon mentioned. Reminds me of KamalaHQ which so many of us loved.

I made my calls to my Democratic senators and representative here in New Mexico and was warmly received by the staff. I spoke with more urgency today than I have in the past - not anger, urgency - they were able to receive and express appreciation for it. I drove home the critical need for a joint statement from the Democrats in the House and Senate about Trump’s betrayal of our country. I also pointed out that those of us here on the ground are starting to feel the effects of the administrations intentional cruelty even in seemingly small ways. For example, I confirmed yesterday that telemedicine appointments are no longer covered by Medicare as of March 31, thanks to a Donald Trump executive order. For people with mobility issues or living in remote areas, this is a big deal.

Oh no, I knew it was on the chopping block, but not that Medicare had already taken action.

I had a telemedicine appointment scheduled so I called the doctor’s office just to check. I was put on hold for quite a while and when the person returned she confirmed there would be no more Medicare coverage for telemedicine appointments after March 31 (based on an Executive Order I believe). I’m really curious why that specific thing would be identified and decreed. I guess maybe it’s something practical and humane that Biden implemented during the pandemic.(…Therefore, it is evil & must be eradicated??)

I had a lightbulb moment this morning related to the suggestion by Simon for Youtube presentations by Democrats for Democracy.

Background

This was in my feed this morning as I opened Bluesky: (FYI, my comments are in () and in all caps):

1. Jackie Robinson Protested Jim Crow segregation (why mention this: to remind folks of the truth)

2. Fake ICE agents are roaming the streets of America. MSNBC report. (SECRET POLICE IN AMERICA?!?!)

3. Howard Lutnick, Sec of Commerce, telling the public to buy Tesla stock (WHY: ILLEGAL)

4. Sen Tillis will be at the Carolina Country Club in Raleigh NC for his Campaign Kickoff while failing to meet with non-filthy rich (oops my commentary) constituents. (THE JOB OF A CONGRESSPERSON IS TO REPRESENT HIS/HER CONSTITUENTS)

5. The trump administration has enabled a small network of high-tech oligarchs to determine the vast proportion of federal spending and regulatory policy. (THAT IS THE JOB OF THE LEGISLATIVE BRANCH—PART OF THE CONSTITUTION—SO BY CHANGING THE JOB OF THE LEG BRANCH TRUMP IS VOIDING THE CONSTITUTION)

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/18/opinion/andreessen-musk-trump-silicon-valley.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare

At the same time as my bluesky perusal, I was listening to Jen Taub’s LIVE daily (8:30 eastern) podcast on Youtube where she has updates and comments on trump’s illegalities:

1. DOGE enlisted help of the US Attny General for DC, the FBI, private security and the DC police, ARMED, and entered a privately owned building running the Institute for Peace (private group, not a gov. entity under the Exec branch) to access their data and files in search of a crime (Illegal IN MANY FRONTS) (Also reported by Rachel Maddow)

2. Comments and video on WH press secretary saying lies.

Lightbulb moment

1. The YouTube Democrats for Democracy Presser needs to be begin soon after the WH press conference ends

2. The Youtube Dem Pressers need to be DAILY, immediately following the WH press conference…so the lies do not stand unchallenged. Americans need to hear facts from the opposition.

3. The leaders have a ton of items to highlight, beyond the WH lies, that are not being reported and highlighted in corporate media (just need to scan bluesky posts, as sited above)

4. Because Dem leaders have a lot on their plate, asking the same person to hold a presser every day may be asking too much. So create a signup sheet for any Congressperson who would like to counter the WH lies and speak to the American ppl. Maybe have leadership speak once a week.

5. The WH press secretary is not an elected official…maybe use that model …just someone designated to speak for the Democratic Party

6. Because it is presented on YouTube, it opens the possibility of having the Democracy Presser to be held anywhere…not just at a DC podium. A coffeeshop, a hospital, the VA, a school, in a rural community or inner city or a park.

7. Make it personal to Americans by coming to our communities, not just being lectured to at a DC podium. Let local media pose questions because they know what is happening locally.

8. IF Dem leaders (i.e. Jeffries and Schumer) don’t like the idea, then let the DNC or DCCC create a YouTube channel and sign up sheet to counter the republican lies and crimes against the Constitution. Then, it is open to anyone, and not just elected officials. Maybe Americans will find a leader that way.

I am brainstorming off of Simon’s brilliant original idea. The bottom line is DEMOCRATS need to VOICE their oppose and enlighten the American public in a consistent manner. And time is wasting.

Americans need to hear a rebuttal to the lies….starting yesterday.

Americans need to get a refresher course in Civics as to what the Constitution is, how it is important to the average American, and how that document has been working successfully for 200+ yrs and how it is not being honored by trump and doge any longer.

Americans need to be told the truth that our Constitutional Republic is collapsing because the legislative branch is failing to provide a check on the power grab of the executive branch and because the executive branch is failing to obey the rule of law and is NOT faithfully executing its duty to obey the Constitution.

Americans need to understand clearly, without mincing words, that our country is currently acting outside the boundaries set forth by the Constitution…we have never been in this place before. Lots of ppl and groups are trying to awaken and alert Americans to this new reality so as to change the course back to our core democratic principles. It will take all of us to correct the harm. It may take an election cycle or less…it may take 20 years or countless generations…but it is up to us, the People to correct this wrong.

Thank you very much for this post! If I was asked to articulate our single greatest problem, it is constitutional illiteracy. (Consider that the Framers did not envision political parties.)

Where we are today has been achieved by many decades of bipartisan undermining and deterioration of the constitutional system.

It is time for all who believe in America to get back to working on that foundation. It is WE who have failed the Constitution. Either we return to it, or allow inertia to carry us on the road we've been on.

Thank you, Simon, for the push last night to get back into the habit of calling my Rep and Sens daily. I am in Iowa, so all three are GOP, and it's discouraging. When I called this morning, I got right through to Rep Miller-Meeks and Sen. Ernst and left voicemail for Sen. Grassley. I switch mine up to my GOP senators every day, but I always end it with something along the lines of: "Please uphold your oath to protect the Constitution." Today I talked to Budd's (NC) voicemail about the risk of increased terrorist attacks because water inspectors are not able to do their jobs thanks to the executive order that stated government workers can only charge $1 on their cards (on NPR this morning; also in the Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/03/09/doge-government-credit-card-limits/). I talked to Tillis about the wanton destruction of funding for science and technology (very important to NC's economy) and how the administration is ceding the country's preeminence in these fields. I say whatever is on my mind, and at this point, I look forward to it!

Hey Kate - I want to give you some support. I lived in Iowa for four years and moved to Illinois last May. Having grown up in Iowa and leaving in 1989, when I returned in 2020 I didn't recognize it. Public education that the whole nation looked to us for innovation? Gone. ICE deporting people from meat plants that had brought them to Iowa by busload? Hateful anti-LGBTQ laws after Iowa was one of the first states to legalize gay marriage in 2009? Barbarian abortion laws? And they keep getting voted back in. I happened to be near Decorah, which is a little liberal oasis in NE Iowa, but I couldn't stand living in Iowa after being gone 30 years. Believe me, it is like a waterfall running over you beautifully living in a blue state for the first time. (I lived in Dallas from 1989 - 2020). Hang in there and know that we understand how painful it is to see the state you love just decimated by ugly hateful politicians. If we lose hope, they win. Give yourself grace, take days off from the ugliness, and know that we're with you. We WILL get our country back, Kate. I believe that. In solidarity, Kent

Simon et al.:

For Dolos, everything that we are experiencing is about being “back to the future”. THE TSAR WANTS ANOTHER YALTA MOMENT WHERE STALIN GOT EVERYTHING THAT HE WANTED (note the three portraits commissioned by the Tsar, timestamp: 2:50): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkEn86RIsOk. So, with his limited understanding of history, Dolos has been eager to join his Tsar in this “transition” process (for years with no change in his objective from 2017 to 2025): https://www.cnn.com/2017/01/25/opinions/putin-wants-yalta-2-0-and-trump-may-give-it-to-him-ghitis/index.html and https://www.cnn.com/2017/01/17/opinions/trump-putin-ghitis/index.html and https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/17/politics/trump-putin-meeting-ukraine-intl-hnk/index.html?iid=cnn_buildContentRecirc_end_recirc. From what a now exiled Russian journalist has shared, the Russian leaders have understood for years that Dolos has the proper “psychology”, malignant narcissism with a lean toward chaos, to go along with the Tsar’s ambitions: https://www.vanityfair.com/news/story/putin-trump-yalta?_sp=2ab1d9bd-4283-4e0f-962f-10887a4e23d0.1739385680041.

As we end this journey down a “sphere of influence” memory lane, one now understands why the former U.S.S.R. member states have begun to mobilize for war (and think about NUKES): https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/donald-tusk-announces-military-training-plan-for-all-polish-men/ar-AA1AshYu . With a suggestion for a friendly hockey match between the USA and Russia as it morphs into MUA (Make U.S.S.R. Again), Dolos has been pushing for increased bilateral cooperation between America and the “trailer park with atomic bombs”: https://www.kyivpost.com/post/49167 [see my notes on new investments in Russia from last Thursday and this past Tuesday].

Does everyone remember where Yalta is located? The answer is CRIMEA!! Does everyone remember who controlled Crimea prior to an invasion in 2014 by the Tsar’s “little green men” (a state’s military wearing uniforms without any insignia, badges, or ID)? The answer is UKRAINE!!

Enough! This “peace negotiation” is a game and a distraction. For a true answer, please do some research on one particular futuristic vision from the past century called “Technate” (very Canadian): https://newsinteractives.cbc.ca/longform/technocracy-incorporated-elon-musk/ and https://brilliantmaps.com/the-technate-of-america/. Technate meet Network State (old wine in a new bottle).

CARTHAGO DELENDA EST (via nonviolence).

P.S.: Do the following now! FIRST, TEACH CIVICS. Second, register voters. THIRD, TEACH CIVICS. Rinse. Repeat.

P.P.S.: DEMOCRATS (AND PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES FOR OFFICE) NEED TO HAVE “TOWN HALLS” IN REPUBLICAN DISTRICTS - ASAP. YOUR OPPONENTS HAVE WILLINGLY CONCEDED THE FIELD.

P.P.P.S.: Simon has often mentioned the earnest six-million patriots from the last cycle. This is a large pool of thoughtful energy/talent. SO, DEMOCRATS SHOULD ALLOW VETTED-VOLUNTEERS TO AUGMENT THEIR PAID OFFICE STAFF MEMBERS IN ORDER TO COVER THE INCOMING TSUNAMI OF COMMUNICATIONS (AND OTHER CONCERNS) FROM CITIZENS IN GENERAL AND CONSTITUENTS IN PARTICULAR!!

Self report. This morning I repeated previous information about A letter to America then made a new request of Senator Heinrich of NM. "In your conversations with your colleagues in the Senate, please mention the concept of A Letter to America that could be drafted by Senator Chuck Schumer and Representative Hakeem Jeffries, signed by all Democrats in Congress, and made available to The People of Our Country...The need for this urgent because so much damage is being done each day to our national security, our institutions, the freedom of our people, the rule of law, the trust of our allies, and the world order." I also provided the letter drafted by Two Information Warriors of the Hopium Chronicles Community (AKA David E. and me) to illustrate the concept, and noted that others are drafting letters to share. Similarly, I contacted Rep. Stansbury again, adding that "I hope that you like the idea and will be a champion for this Letter to America in Congress."
