Looking forward to The New York Times explaining how this is actually bad news for Joe Biden.

MSM desperate for even a hint of the mythical "Red wave" to have made an appearance yesterday, in order to legitimize the NYT-Siena poll of a few days ago...and guess what? - polls lost, voters won!

Not only did the NYT/Siena College undertake and publish their flawed poll - they did it a few days prior to Election Day. Talk about trying to put your thumb on the scale.

From Politico this a.m.:

ANOTHER BIG NIGHT FOR DEMS — We’re beginning to sense a pattern here. Never mind Americans’ nagging concerns about the economy. Never mind an expanding portfolio of global crises. And definitely never mind those year-out presidential polls.

Right on cue, here's the Times Nat Cohn's newsletter:

Tuesday Was Great for Democrats. It Doesn’t Change the Outlook for 2024.

WaPo beat the Times on the "bad news for Biden" beat:

"As for how much solace this night provides a year before the 2024 election? There’s a real question about whether Republicans just don’t turn out when Trump isn’t on the ballot. Beshear was an incumbent. Virginia leans blue. And even if Democrats as a whole are well-poised, that doesn’t necessarily mean Biden, with his various liabilities, will be able to take advantage."

Bothsidesism is automatic now for MSM pundits. Ugh.

Rachel Maddow on CBS Morning today said it’s the Dems who have self-doubt ( but shouldn’t) and the Republicans with no platform that Americans like and a criminal for a candidate have no self-doubt but certainly should! It’s a tipsy-turvy world in MSM these days and Dems are working to change all that by Nov. ‘24--- AND WE WILL‼️

What Aaron Blake and many other journos don't realize apparently, is that trump WAS on the ballot for Dems! I guess we don't count?

Wish I understood the psychology of people who would themselves never vote for Trump but feel compelled to advance him.

Also what polls don’t capture is Dem’s huge efforts to turn out voters. Even polls of “likely voters” can’t capture this effect.

So very heartening! And we must keep going...there is not enough room in this nation for me and MAGA. I'm married to an Irishman, so I have options, but this is my home and I will stay and fight for it.

So grateful for the work we did writing letters to Virginia. People, volunteer and do something to help Democrats win elections. No matter where you live, supporting the Democratic Party in any way you can is going to help our Democracy. Thanks.

I would love to see a summary/recap of every race nationwide with a red or blue checkmark next to it to represent dem or repub winner. Then a summary of the totals, i.e., Out of 743 races nationwide, dems took 420, repubs took 199, and independent or non partisan races were the remaining 124.

I wrote 100 letters to voters in VA this cycle for Vote Forward. If I turned out even one voter who might otherwise have sat it out, I feel I helped turn the VA legislature blue again.

I wrote a similar amount of letters and feel the same way. I also managed to contact at least one VA voter to cure their ballot. If I even got one Dem vote I’m happy. Elections are a numbers game and we win or lose on the margins.

Simon, thank you a million times over for your optimism, perspective, enthusiasm and encouragement going into these critically important races. Your positivity on David Pepper's election night call was fabulous! I am very proud of the members of my Indivisible group who wrote hundreds of postcards to Virginia voters as well as many more in support of Ohio's Issue 1 and races in other states.

Working together across America, we ALL made the difference last night. Onward to victory in 2024. GO BIDEN/HARRIS 2024!

Are there colleges in those districts? The key is registering and motivating them.

We need the NY State Democratic Party to take these type of actions in a coordinated, organized, and methodical way. To have people like myself occasionally going to a college to register 10-20 students every so often is not going to cut it.

I hope they do, but not holding my breath. Meanwhile, there are groups registering HS and college voters, especially in the 9 critical NY districts, e.g., The Civics Center (TheCivicsCenter.org)

Yes we need that redistricting to get court approval on Nov 15th so that at a minimum we can reconfigure and win back the two (2) Nassau county seats previously held by Kathleen Rice and Tom Suozzi - we need to be focused and paying attention to this !😎

Election results from Ohio, where I live, to Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Iowa…..all resounding support for democracy and the Biden Democratic agenda . So pleased ( and relieved) with voter intelligence to see through the Republican propaganda. Please help me understand why certain pundits are strongly indicating that the Dems are losing the Black and Hispanic vote for the Presidential election, and that Biden can no longer rely on their support….which could cost him the election. Is that correct?

Their calculus is beating up Pres. Biden, running with negative “polling data” gets more viewers to stay tuned. All of it financial interest. Well, we have financial interests too. Donating to Democratic campaigns outside our own blue states pays excellent dividends! Great job everyone!
