The former President of South Korea was given life in prison for leading an insurrection:

These two encouraging events come a few months after close Trump ally, Jair Bolsonaro, the former Brazilian President, began serving a 27 year sentence in for his version of January 6th:

And a little more than a year since the Assad regime, in power for more than 53 years, fell in Syria:

The triumph of autocracy and oligarchy is not inevitable. A new birth of freedom here and everywhere is possible. Our job here at Hopium is to make that future, where freedom and democracy prevail over a politics of dominion, far more likely.
