Thank you. We can learn a lot from Zelensky and the Ukranian people

Such a thoughtful and interesting conversation. Thank you Simon for making it happen. Your Polish/Ukrainian warrior ancestors would be proud of your leadership in this battle for democracy!

Very informative and perceptive, especially the reference to the 2nd Punic war and the strategy of the Roman dictator Fabius. For US audiences perhaps Muhammad Ali’s “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” would resonate more powerfully. I wonder when or if even the supine and/or sycophants in the US will recognize that they cannot count on support from Trump if or I hope when the Department of InJustice drops the first two letters from what has become its purpose - see Todd aka Carte Blanche with regard to any demand for prosecution from the Evil Office, or literally for starting a shell game.

What a privilege to listen to this conversation.

Thank you, Simon, for exposing us to great minds who can inspire us.

I always, always appreciate hearing from Phillips O’Brien. A very thoughtful and deeply well informed resource for all of us. To you, Simon, I would only offer one important perspective to reinforce something you said about what we have to do as Democrats. We cannot, can not, give Trump anything financially, but the barest budget. The amount of graft, grift, greed that has walked away with scores and scores and generations and generations of resources and wealth cannot go on. We must be strong. We must be clear eyed. We must be vigilant… we must be “Ukrainian Jews.”

Agreed. Not one penny more for the military-industrial complex until we see regime change in our own country.

Fantastic interview. Heard it live and I’m going to listen to it again because there is so much there. Did not have Hannibal on my bingo card today 🙂, but such an important point about taking the initiative in a war without necessarily winning specific battles.

Absolutely amazing discussion on global politics and how they are now changing in ways that we all need to understand because the changes affect ALL of us‼️🫶🏼🙏🏼👏🏼😅

What difference will Russian oils sales make in the Ukraine war defense

Such a great talk. I feel inspired again. It’s been a rough week! I like the suggestion that we “string him along” until after the mid terms. How can we get that message to our congresspeople? So many things to tell them! Thanks Simon. Phillips is a gem.

We've sensed for quite a while now that Trump and Putin were connected, but we never knew exactly how or how other players (Orban, etc) were involved. You are putting this puzzle together for us until we see it more and more clearly and YIKES! how have we just let this go on???

In return? Why should Dems bail out T***p at all for the bill he has run up prosecuting the illegal and unconstitutional Iran war?

Vis-a-via the changed European posture toward the U.S., well, that was entirely predictable as of the day we lost the election in November 2024. I’m only surprised that it took them this long.
