I absolutely love how Jared Moskowitz can get James Comer practically frothing at the mouth in 30 seconds or less!

Agree! Love Rep. Moskowitz!

Great work, Simon!

Biden 2024 just getting started - don’t let house R’s or Dems like Adam Smith put down Biden!

Hope that C-span covered Hunter Biden’s time in the House this morning including the comments by House members both Dem and Republican, since the TV coverage in real time on a “neutral network” that is C-span, will be more credible to independent voters and never-Trump folks whom we want on our side!

Bravo to Nancy Mace. She can chew gum and talk trash all at the same time! Forgive me, I'm not on the Musk channel anymore, so I must post this here!

Lynn, What a great description. Between MGT and Nancy Mace there has been more focus on Hunter Biden's genitalia than anything else. It's kind of pervy. What is up with these women?

I keep wondering why they get away with blatant sexual harassment. Power imbalance between Members of U.S Congress and private citizen. Humiliated in Court where you were responding to a their subpoena. No other reason to be there since it’s public and we only do depositions in secret Decorum? Common courtesy? Traditional respect for members of the President’s family? Who should act on that? Hakeem I’d guess.

It's all kind of trashy and I'm tired of it. There seems to be no end to this tiresome show.

Thanks Simon. Despite Trump being a terrible candidate I hear that he’s running a sophisticated campaign in Iowa and I assume elsewhere. Is there anything interesting going on there to watch?

Thanks, Simon, for posting those videos so quickly. It feels so good to see Democrats not taking Republicans' BS quietly.

I'm from Iowa. A governor that is supporting DeSantis, some supporting Trump and the rest for Biden. I believe a lot of folks that are supporting Trump in public will not vote for him when they get behind the voting curtain.

I hope you are right. I know there are a lot of intelligent and reasonable folks in Iowa and I'm tired of hearing only from the extremists. I am truly interested to know how we can connect with people in states who are currently being drowned out by extremist (and often mind-bogglingly ignorant) noise.

What a crap show today in the House! Kudos to Rep. Moskowitz. Also, the fact that Hunter Biden showed up speaks a lot louder than the crazy screaming lady Nancy Mace. So ready to get these people out of office, re-elect Biden/Harris and vote for all Democrats on my ticket.

Nancy Mace and Elise Stefanik are a disgrace to the many women (Democratic, of course) who serve our country proudly.

Boy, I so agree with that. This was my first introduction to Nancy Mace, but after watching Elise Stefanik in action, every time I see her name, my blood pressure goes up a notch and the hair on the back of my neck stands up. She's a nasty piece of work and Mace is right there with her.

You mean you missed her "Scarlet Letter" performance?

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/n_QSKAfD3FU

For background, she helped nix Steve Scalese for House speaker and promoted JimJordan instead. See her interview with Jake Tapper here (starts around 2:30 mark):

His astonished reaction to some of her statements about Jordan is hysterical!

I agree 100% - and both of them got elected under false pretenses pretending to be "moderates". I saw on either Wiki- or Ballotpedia that Stefanik's district was rated R+9 in 2022; I'm not sure if that will hold in 2024. But there are plenty of other NY House districts that GOP candidates won but which also went for Biden. Between the entire NY GOP House Caucus voting for MAGA Mike Johnson and their association with both George Santos and Elise Stefanik, I hope a bunch of these GOP freshman representatives are toast in the upcoming election.

NY CD 19 wheew I live was one of those districts that flipped to Republican. We are now waiting for the next redistricting ( ! ) but are already on Molinaro's case. His voting record shows he is no moderate.

I know NY-19 is on the Swing Left "hit" list to flip. This almost guarantees that there will be a Vote Forward campaign to GOTV in your district.

Stefanik and Mace represent two of the most beautiful and heavily touristed districts, too—the Adirondacks and the SC Lowcountry. I know of many good people in both places who deserve far better representation. They are slightly outnumbered at the polls. If we could get to 55 …

The best part of this morning's Hunter show was when he and his lawyers left the room as soon as Marjorie Taylor Greene got the mic--forcing all media to leave the hearing and follow him out into the hall. Master stroke!

Wow! I like that. MTG is a member of the goon squad. Definitely a Yam Person.

I am so tired of extremists yelling and screaming like a bunch of angry baboons. The more ignorant they are, the louder they yell. And we continue to pay their salaries? Kind of unbelievable.

Simon- We watched the Lawrence segment last night, and you are fantastic. Your answers are succinct and well reasoned, and unlike many guests who blather on, your's were concise and crisp. Seems to my wife who has the most critical eye on these things, that you should be a regular fixture on cable news, and certainly MSNBC; we should be seeing you 4-7 times a week in her estimation. She would love to see a couple of lock-ups: You and Steve Kornacki, or You and Lawrence Tribe, taking your respective views on a single subject. She did air one note of caution: while your optimism is valid and important, it needs to always come with a closing note of caution for voters not to become complacent in *any* event. The optimism is important, but worthless if people decide "Oh, Joe has this..." and neglects to cast their ballot 😳

A new poll by Suffolk University/Boston Globe of New Hampshire voters shows President Joe Biden holding a 7.4 percentage point lead over Donald Trump. The 7.4 percent advantage for Biden in this poll is the exact, the precise, percentage that Biden won New Hampshire in 2020. That's noteworthy, and I'm noting it.

We all know that polls are not an exact predictor of election results, but I think we can take this one more seriously than others. New Hampshire voters, more than any in the country outside Iowa, are dialed in to the 2024 election. They are more likely therefore to say how they will really vote in November. What that means to me is that there has been no erosion of Biden's support. People who voted for Biden in 2020 are likely to do so again, and very unlikely to switch to Trump.

And we know that the demographics have shifted in the Democrats' favor. And if the New Hampshire results are better than your average poll, for the reasons already stated, then it's likely that Biden's support across the country has not eroded from the result in 2020. And all this before the election campaign has really begun.
