Greetings all. Victor Orban has lost in Hungary, and conceded:

Congratulations everyone. This is a very big day for democracy in Hungary, Europe, and everywhere in the world.

Congress returns tomorrow to a very different world, one where Trump’s escalating madness and his many manifest failures - a ridiculous war, surging inflation, a weakening economy, repeated electoral repudiations - will have become impossible to ignore.

More on that tomorrow. Today, there is celebration, joy, and dare I say hope that indeed this time could become one of a “new birth of freedom” rather than a time of autocratic and oligarchical advance.
