And, visual demonstration to the world that core principles, popular resistance and solidarity in America is not DEAD or SHRINKING despite violent attempts at authoritarian dominance.

Unprovoked summary executions of innocent American citizens. One, shot in the back of the head while he lay face down in the street handcuffed. The other, unarmed, shot in the face point blank. This was state sponsored terrorism incited by the Trump regime. That’s what I saw.

Simon, It was so nice to see Attorney General Keith Ellison. It's been awhile since we have seen him. He definitely has done a lot of good work and Service for the City of Minneapolis! He also has an impressive Bio!

He has done good work on behalf of all Minnesotans, not just the good folks in Minneapolis. ICE has done damage across the Twin Cities but also is doing horrible damage in smaller cities and towns across the state. They are still here and still wreaking havoc on our neighbors and the economy.

Blessings to the people of Minnesota, and especially Minneapolis and St. Paul, who have endured so much. And now, adding insult to injury, a criminal referral to DOJ by Vance demanding it investigate/prosecute the Democratic Governor and State Attorney General. Vance should be looking a lot closer to home if he wants to know what corruption and incompetence look like.

I've watched a few of your videos and it was the last two I saw- this one and the one with the woman who was fighting the new rule on research grants that got me to cross the line into paid subscribership- keep up the good work- I appreciate it

Simon, a small favor to ask of you and Lincoln. Is it possible to move the interviews and Zooms to a later hour? It's not just an issue with your Substack. Many forget that those who aren't on the East Coast time can't participate. Most people won't ask that they take place at 10 p.m. Eastern. But if you could move them to even 7 Central, more people could participate.

This was great - thank you both!

I have a lot of Hopium to catch up on. Like many of you, whatever free time I did have to indulge in our sphere of the virtual world (past 24 hours) was dedicated to our very interesting, informative, and passionate discussion about Platner.

Which is to say, please forgive if it's already been done, but here is the gift link to the big Epstein article/forthcoming book about how the whole situation rocked the WH.

Even though ICE is still doing illegal actions that violate people's civil and legal rights, the fact that their stupid cosplay torture porn videos are no longer being foisted on the American public shows me that they have lost an important arm of their projection of strength. They know that what ICE is doing is not politically popular so they have to tamp down a major source of their aesthetics of power. Even passing the ICE funding hasn't been as celebratory on their end, hardly seeing any gloating like they usually do.

What a great interview. AG Ellison gives me such hope.

Simon, AG Ellison said that you’re an attorney - is that true? I didn’t know that.

Simon Rosenberg's avatar

I am not an attorney.

AG Ellison is terrific!! Love his resolve to keep fighting for our rule of law!
