Reminder - Hakeem Jeffries Joins Us Tomorrow At 1030am ET. The Program Itself Begins Promptly at 1015am.
Excited To Have Our Next Speaker With Us Tomorrow - Register Today!
Happy Sunday all, and a big reminder - House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries joins us live tomorrow at 1030am ET. Tomorrow’s Zoom will open at 10am, and I will be kicking off the program at 1015am with my latest take on the 2024 elections. Rep. Jeffries will then join us at 1030am to give us an update on the all-important effort he’s leading to flip the House and send the extremists packing!
You can register for this exciting event here. Be sure to log in by 1015am tomorrow so you can catch my update and so you don’t miss a second of Leader Jeffries remarks. For those who cannot make it live we will be sharing a recording in an early afternoon Hopium post tomorrow.
You can learn more about our Winning The House campaign here. At that link you can give to or volunteer for any of our 12 candidates, watch our first six candidate interviews or you can donate to all 12 using this single link (your contribution is split 12 ways). Here are the 12 candidates. Please consider doing something to help them, today:
Andrei Cherny, AZ-01
Kirsten Engel, AZ-06
Adam Gray, CA-13
Rudy Salas, CA-22
George Whitesides, CA-27
Will Rollins, CA-41
Tony Vargas, NE-02
Sue Altman, NJ-07
Laura Gillen, NY-04
Mondaire Jones, NY-17
Josh Riley, NY-19
Janelle Bynum, OR-5
All 12 of our candidates are pick up opportunities in winnable Republican-held districts. I endorsed these 12 after consulting with the DCCC and others. Here at Hopium we focus on open and seat challenger races (non-incumbents) because it is where I think your money and volunteering goes the furthest, and in races where I believe our support can make the difference between us winning and losing. All of these 12 races are winnable - if the candidates get the support they need.
Simply if these 12 candidates win this November the House will flip, Hakeem Jeffries will become Speaker and President Kamala Harris will have a legislative partner in the House to advance her agenda next year.
Thanks to everyone who has already participated in our Winning the House campaign. We’ve raised over $660,000 in these past eight weeks for these 12 intrepid candidates, and I know many of you are already working hard in these races. When the Hopium community is called, you always answer, and you have answered powerfully in this campaign so far.
Friends, this been a very exciting week for all of us. We just need to keep our heads down and keep doing to the work to have the election we all want to have in November, something that feels far more likely today than it did even days ago.
See you all tomorrow and thank you for all that you do for our democracy, our freedoms and our future - Simon
