Just starting to listen. I hope folks will consider donating to Democracy Docket. Marc and his team truly deserve significant honors for helping to save this country. (Monthly is $10 and so worth it). Marc is a true American hero and will go down as such in the history books. Thank you to Simon and Marc for this discussion today.

Marc Elias is so dedicated and smart. We’re lucky he’s willing to keep up the fight for all of us which must be exhausting.

I do worry about him frequently, that he's carrying so much on his shoulders.

Excellent Simon, truly. I talk about both Hopium and Democracy Docket/Watch with friends and family often. Arguably (although inarguably in my view), the two most pivotal organizations in our modern landscape. I know I’m a passionate writer in the comments and I know there are many more topics for us to all discuss and navigate through as a family. Just know I’m also as passionate an advocate and believer. It’s why I remain dedicated to the family and to the cause. For every neurotic concern I express 😂, my innate cautious optimism edges out and clears my anxiety. I know we will prevail when all said and done. But damn if isn’t one son of a bitch process! Thank you for all you do. Proud to be in this fight 🙏✌️💕🫡.

Want to thank you for providing transcripts. I get more out of reading; too many years on the planet have made literacy my preferred mode of learning?

Thanks for another great interview, I've supported democracy docket as long as I've supported Hopium and I really appreciate Marc's comments that both organizations are Democratic Party adjacent, supporting both national and state parties, but also candidates directly.

Marc Elias is just an incredible person who has done so much for this country. I pray that he and his team continue to persevere against this nightmare we are living in and that we come out victorious. Thank you, Marc and Simon, for your brilliant minds and clear-headed focus in a time where we need it the most.

Love Mark Elias's interviews and his Democracy Docket analysis! I guess the question I have is what's the strategy endgame here for Republicans? I know it's "Democrats not being able to vote and for us to stay in power forever" but specifically what mechanisms are they using to reach this outcome? I get the unrestricted donations part, no problem. Achieving control over states and their elections seems to be a #1 priority, like using personal voter information data. Is their plan to build this large national database of voters to then summarily get to pick and choose who is kicked off the voter rolls at any given time? All I have to say is I'm glad that our elections are NOT centralized in terms of procedures. That's turning out to be a protective strength in my view.

Listened to this, then subscribed to Democracy Docket and listened to Marc Elias's talk with Hillary Clinton https://youtu.be/4dS4KzU5q00?si=l95QftVYsFJb_jKl. I recommend it.

It just about makes me want to cry (10 (?) years later) that she lost to Trump (probably because he cheated somehow). She is SO smart, and so incredibly effective at the things she has done like her work combatting human trafficking when she was Secretary of State. And the Senate had the audacity to subpoena her to testify about Jeffrey Epstein as if somehow this woman who got the whole world (including the US!) to agree to fight human trafficking would have anything to do with Jeffrey Epstein and sex trafficking.

And I loved those articles and news clips about her traveling the world as Secretary of State with Chelsea, and the reaction of women around the world that she came to visit them. You sure don't see women in Africa coming out to cheer Marco Rubio. Of course, he's probably never gone there... I'm not sure they have any billionaires.

Marc Elias is a fan of hers, and admires her for continuing to fight.
