I think if we can couple anger about the economy and prices to corruption and anger against big tech, especially the tech bros funding the GOP to enable big tech to put data centers in communities across the country, we will have a particularly powerful message.
While farmers are losing their farms and workers their jobs, and manufacturing deteriorates under Trump, the GOP is laser focused on carrying out the big-tech agenda. That is data centers to raise electricity prices and use up water. They are all ponied up to the trough.

Eh, I can’t say it’s as bad here as some people may think. Lots of negative ads and mailers. But not any worse than a typical election cycle. I think the big difference is the primary ads are starting to take on the tone of a D vs. R general election than a primary.

I am working here in NJ on getting folks registered and urging friends to join in this endeavor. League of Women voters is coming to our campus to register students. It's all about the registration and turnout, and maximizing the numbers.

They have a toolkit (of course they do!) that walks you through steps you can take in your community according to your comfort level, etc. They have it together! Also, re the Ken Martin thing: I continue to be impressed by the DNC paid voter reg program, and think it will pay dividends that we are already starting to see in the numbers. People have HAD IT and want to make their voices heard - and as far as I'm concerned, that's a great use of funds.

Getting things wrong may even be deliberate, because at some point people give up trying to figure out the truth.

Also, ABC is fighting Carr’s threat of pulling their license citing Trump’s own statements and tweets that reveal his desire to mute their free speech.
I’m just finishing my 100th postcard to Iowa voters in this batch of 500 cards due to be mailed on October 12th. Unfortunately, the script was determined months ago and makes no mention of early voting (which in Iowa, will start 20 days before Nov 3).
Hey, turnoutpac.org/postcards how about sending out a quick addendum to your postcard volunteers about early voting?! Plenty of room on the cards.
Also, FYI, the Ashley Hinson senate campaign is running ads touting her support for eliminating the death tax that’s “killing the family farm”. That’s the best you’ve got, Ashley? I think Iowa farmers are wishing they had the luxury of worrying about passing on the family farm, given trump’s agriculture-destroying policies.
Once people need to take care of their own relatives in nursing homes they will feel the impact of the TPS revocations in the most personal manner possible. Too bad some voters didn’t simply exercise some foresight two years ago.
Hello all! I am chiming in from a cruise ship that just embarked from the port of Dover England for nine days around the British Isles. I am chaperoning my 78-year-old mother on her first ever trip outside of North America.
I have to tell you Folks, we have been treated so well by everyone we’ve encountered these last two days traveling through England. And it’s made me think about how important it is that we win power back and do anything that is necessary to put ourselves back in a position to begin the long and difficult process of restoring our reputation in the world.
The impacts the American people’s dreadful mistake on November 4, 2024 have had not just on us but on the rest of the world is something I will spend the rest of my life embarrassed by and apologizing for.
The privilege to be able to hop on a plane and come to a place like this and with very minimal hassle pop on a boat and see essentially five countries over nine days is something that we have taken so for granted, and it didn’t become that way by accident… It’s not a sexy voting issue, but our relationship with the rest of the world might be the most important benefit of Democrats being in power and the most disastrous part of Trump being in power.

i have travel aversion myself. its a thing. but i live vicariously through everyone else....my wife just got back from pompeii. we watched the excellent new tom hiddleston documentary on it. because i have seen most of the documentaries, i recognized all the experts he had on. its funny, my wife was texting me about the various ruins, asking me about them, though i have never been there! and damn if i wasn't spot on with most of them....
I am waiting for a poster/banner like this: “Billionaires: Let THEM Eat Cake” The polls provide the guidance that a war on the uber wealthy, especially the greedy Trumpists, will generate votes.
