Love the talk--still depressed about this mess. Some think (not anyone here) just because the "government" opened we automatically got paid. Not true. Please keeps giving me "hope" thanks everyone.

Hang in there. I hope you survive this mess okay and your finances stabilize soon. Then we work together to keep it from happening again (hopefully).

I watched Jen’s interview with Ken Burns earlier today and he brought up the “Resolutions of Condemnation” unprompted. Seems like this is a great moment for the project. Go team Hopium. I will take another run at our local city council (with the new Burns documentary as the hook).

Yes, good luck with Takoma Park City Council ! You just need one sponsor to get it moving.

Do you have a link to that interview? Was he talking about the public condemnations during the dawn of the American Revolution, the basis for the Hopium Resolutions Project? https://www.hopiumchronicles.com/p/hopiums-resolutions-project-draft

Thanks! I will keep on trying. My local council person was not receptive but am going to try again.

Here’s the link to the interview below. He (actually his co-director) was talking about the “committees of correspondence.” Apologies, I confused them! See: https://contrarian.substack.com/p/american-revolutionaries-theyre-just (you can just control f to find the reference, there is a transcript).

Thanks. The committees of correspondence at the dawn of the American Revolution were also mentioned by Simon as a foundation of the Resolutions Project. https://www.hopiumchronicles.com/p/background-onresolutions-of-condemnation

the only reason he changed his tune on the Epstein files is because he told _Pam Bondi to file charges against the Democrats in the files!!!! So all he has to do is sit Back and Pam Bondi will say we can not release them becuase there is on going litigation...and will be for years

Maybe. Not unlike his refusal to release tax returns because of a never ending IRS audit.

Most likely. But you know what? The public, at long last, is awakening! And that will make him look even worse. He is losing the narrative! Apparently MAGA world freaked out about the rude tweets he made about Thomas Massie's deceased wife (and his recent marriage). As Simon has said so often, we never know what's going to break through, but the MAGA faithful seem to be waking up to the fact that they have been conned, and I think that the ridiculous lies about the Epstein files, the grift, the destruction of the White House, the construction of the ballroom, and Marjorie Taylor Greene's VERY public defection is all breaking through. We need to keep doing the work, but my sense is that Trump has lost the ability to pull the wool over his cult's eyes, at least on Epstein, and trying to do this little sleight of hand with Pam Bondi is not going to go over well.

As retired attorney Robert Hubbell pointed out in his Substack this morning,

"But as a practical matter, it is too late for Trump or Bondi to destroy evidence. Literally thousands of FBI and DOJ agents and attorneys have (collectively) seen the damaging evidence."

"Moreover, the DOJ had an ongoing investigation into Jeffrey Epstein when Trump became president in January of this year. Although Trump has now fired most of the attorneys who were working on the investigation (including Maurene Comey), those attorneys undoubtedly know what incriminating documents existed in the files when they were fired."

"If documents known to incriminate Trump are not included in the disclosure by the DOJ pursuant to the EFTA, many people will notice their absence—and raise a red flag."

Keep the faith!

As with so many others, I'm reading books on the American Revolution. I'm currently well into Gordon S. Wood's book on Benjamin Franklin. I'm most interested in his many transformations, especially his transformation from a loyalist hanging out in London to a fiery patriot returned to Philadelphia.

As HCR has emphasized, political conditions and movements can transform large numbers of people. I believe we're seeing that now. People who before didn't do politics have stepped forward and are involved. They are learning new skills and are figuring out how to use them against the regime. Others are applying the skills they already have to the political realm. We're seeing new collaboration and coalition-building. Creativity abounds. The amazing things that many people are doing don't make the big headlines, but they are happening under the radar and there's nothing the regime can do to about it.

When the history of this moment is written by our future HCRs and Ken Burns they will get their due.

ALL-DAY NOTE.

EPSTEIN, EPSTEIN, EPSTEIN!

BLACKMAIL, BLACKMAIL, BLACKMAIL!

NATIONAL SECURITY, NATIONAL SECURITY, NATIONAL SECURITY!

“Again, it all goes back to I think the person running the country right now is a DEAD PEDOPHILE [emphasis mine].”

- Professor Scott Galloway (NYU), Founder of Prof G Media

Folks:

It seems that Mark Elias now understands that Dolos, “the short-fingered vulgarian (per ‘Spy Magazine’),” is fixated on what the Epstein files mean for him specifically as a FREE MAN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVJ21BDzJJs. Understand that the first action of the new regime’s Department of Justice was to close an open case by the SDNY about Epstein’s collaborators: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/jeffrey-epstein-co-conspirators-house-democrats-jamie-raskin/ . We must understand that the Dolos relationship to Epstein is a national security problem, especially when we see the level of influence that Ghislaine Maxwell (GMax) has over Dolos.

Ghislaine Maxwell is now effectively running the low-security prison camp where she now resides: https://people.com/ghislaine-maxwell-has-custom-meals-and-pet-a-puppy-behind-bars-lawmakers-11849075. What if GMax has the same possible intelligence affiliations as her late father: https://factually.co/fact-checks/media/robert-maxwell-intelligence-ties-evidence-9493b2? This scenario would change one’s perspective on the present situation relative to “kompromat” and the current POTUS.

This multi-decade Epstein Affair will not go away as there are too many eyes on this CRIME which supposedly has no statute of limitations. Do you think that Dolos knows this legal fact? Also, here is an international perspective from a book author on the actual Maxwell trial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P87DM0xdh6Y. From the perspective of those overseas, it seems that America is losing its edge as a bastion of “law and order.”

CARTHAGO DELENDA EST (via nonviolence).

P.S.: Do the following now! FIRST, TEACH CIVICS. Second, register voters. THIRD, TEACH CIVICS. Rinse. Repeat.

🇺🇸 “The Tariff That Ate Our Town” 💸

In a shop on the corner where welders would spark,

Where makers made magic from daylight to dark,

The hum of the tools and the clang of the steel

Were the sounds of a town with a pride you could feel.

But one windy morning, a storm rolled in fast—

Not clouds, not rain, not a shadow it cast.

It came from a desk with a signature stamp,

A tariff-sized tantrum from Trump’s tariff camp.

It gobbled up metal, it swallowed supplies,

It devoured the lumber that builders would buy.

The cost of the copper shot up like a kite,

And sheet metal tripled before Friday night.

Moms in the markets felt pain in their purse,

While dads fixing tractors said, “This is getting worse!”

A hammer now cost what a ladder once did,

And the price of a fridge? You’d need three extra bids.

The welders grew worried, the plumbers did too,

The baker, the barber, the whole business crew.

Small shops were squeezed till their ledgers turned red—

All from tariffs cooked up in a billionaire’s head.

Manufacturers groaned, “How can we survive?”

Families said, “This hurts the cost of our lives!”

Every widget and gadget, each gizmo and gear

Got slapped with a markup year after year.

Trump boasted and bragged, “It’s good for the land!”

While folks felt the squeeze he refused to understand.

A tariff, you see, isn’t paid by the kings—

But by farmers and fixers and everyday things.

Yet towns linked together from city to hill,

Determined to push through the weight of the bill.

They marched and they voted, they lifted their voice—

“We want lower costs, and we’re making that choice!”

So remember this tale when they boast and they bluff:

Economies crumble when leaders act rough.

For a nation grows strong when the people stand tall—

Not when tariffs eat towns

and hurt workers most of all.

Thanks Simon-- I love being in Hopium Land. I'm also a founding Contrarian so I'm finding inspiration on all sides. In another video, please talk more about how Pam Bondi can sit on the Epstein files once her DOJ launches into investigations of Democrats who were Epstein's pals. Isn't it true that if there is an ongoing investigation, she can refuse to release the files?

The Democratic Party needs to rebrand itself through a change in leadership and clearly articulated priorities. In the lead-up to the 2026 mid-term election, the New Democratic Party’s platform should include specific legislative actions and policies it would undertake during the first 100 days of the 120th Congress, much like Newt Gingrich’s very successful Contract with America of the 1990s. One specific action which needs to be part of any platform that Democrats run on is a promise to support the impeachment and conviction of Donald Trump.

My "activity" for today in addition to planning a VR event for later this week...made new postcards that I print F&B and leave in public places -- goal is to reach uninformed people. Do I know they have any impact? Nope, but they can't hurt. In my mind, we have to keep reaching new people. (print pages 1-2 if you're in TX, 2-3 otherwise)
