Impeachment by The House, conviction by the Senate, followed by removal / banishment from office and the 25th Amendment are the only methods the United States has to remove a President/VP. There are no provisions for recall / mid-term re-elections of President or Vice President in our Constitution. Pressuring a president to resign would be extremely difficult today, and the VP would take office.

What's important is that we do what we can each day as Information Warriors, etc. so that Democrats can take back the House and Senate in 2026 to render dt impotent.

The fastest way, going by the Constitution -- with the Trump regime wreaking havoc on the state and its elected officials and its citizens: find out how many of the nine CA House Republicans are near the limit of what they can accept. (IMO, all of them are failing to honor the oath they took by allowing Trump to run wild.) They can reject Trumpism for "Independent" status, and vote with Democrats on articles of impeachment.

In addition, a new Speaker could be chosen from the Democrats, and Democrats would have leadership positions on committees. The very threat of just four of these nine becoming patriotic Americans might shake things up in DC.

The weather gods intend to piss on the Mad King’s parade. This Saturday in DC, rain and thunderstorms are expected in the evening and afternoon.

Worth noting: When there is thunder, the gods often throw lightning bolts!

Last Sat., during WorldPride, a tornado watch was issued. I hope it would be this weekend. More I was curious to see if, last minute, he’d pull the event indoors like he did with Inaug - hot, rainy, schvitzy - not good for hair!

Nor do I tho if one can get Elon in, anything is possible. It was the Jan experience that made us wonder if weather is as dangerous as last Sat and as hot as it was cold in Jan, what they may change, again putting crowds in danger. We’re staying in!

"The weather gods intend to piss on the Mad King’s parade."

Sounds like a cross between the poetry of Byron and the honesty of Harry Truman. Lol. I think I am going to use this one. With proper credit, of course.

Since the beginning of this year, the US Dollar has fallen 12.6 % against the Norwegian NOK. It hasn’t been this low since July 2023. Many other currencies have grown stronger, to the detriment of the USD.

I'm new to Substack and commenting and not certain where I should place my comments (IDEAS) if they are not directly connected to a POST. Any thoughts? And I have NO idea what 'share to NOTES' does.

IDEA #1 When MAGA says: 'You have TDS" ... my reply

"It took me 2 seconds to understand Trump Derangement Syndrome given that trump/MAGA 'blame/accuse others of what they do'.

MAGA has TDS ... it's called Addiction to lies, addiction to cruelty, addiction to feeling superior, and addiction to 'he makes me laugh'.

What we have is Trump Reality Syndrome TRS ... We know he's a mob boss backed by white christian nationalists and we will stand up and stand in the way of Project 2025 and trump's Insanity.

If you are an addicted supporter then go to leavingmaga.org and join the thousands who are working together to help other people like themselves to leave this addiction".

IDEA #2

How do we MESSAGE when Toxic Positivity is what trump uses?

"Your life is good because Trump (I) did it" or "Your life is miserable because They did it"

How do you message around that?

IDEA #3

I watched Stewart Stevens and Simon talk the other day. Please work with them more closely on MESSAGING because 'they' know how and frankly, we do not!

We have to WORK TOWARDS/FOR and NOT, NOT, NOT fight against/with ... So, our MESSAGE must always be 'working towards' and using CONTRAST. 'They are fighting against undocumented and we are working towards sorting out the 50 year immigration mess"

Anyway, if someone can help me know where to post Ideas I would appreciate that. I work as a Gap Filler and want to bring my skills to this process. thank you

Thank you, Simon! Last night's Hopium chat was great! Also last night, Trump got booed at the Kennedy Center, where many seats went empty and a group of drag queens got cheers and applause. He wasn't happy.

The Dems' Daily Blueprint is off to a good start. I'm sharing it on social media and encouraging others to do so, as well.

I called Congressman Raskin and Senators Alsobrooks and Van Hollen to ask them to get louder on Trump's terrible budget bill and to roll back the tariffs. I'm writing postcards to NC voters today.

I posted on my social media accounts that I was attending the No Kings demonstration this weekend, and provided the 50501 link to learn where there is a demonstration nearby. I have an intentionally small social media presence, and I was struck by the fact that I know six people who are attending in their towns. There are more of us than them!

The reason cable isn't shaping the narrative is that Millenials and GenZ don't have cable and they don't subscribe to newspapers. The ones I know get all their news from friends and TikTok. I think that hurt us in the election but is now helping counter the narrative in MSM.

Border control (which is now under control) is not immigration policy. Miller is the one out of control and is freaking out that his so called strategy isn't working. Trump and his regime are feeling more trapped everyday. The projection isn't working!

Same playbook Trump used during the Floyd protests. Blow it out of proportion using the media. My son lives in Portland, OR on the east side of the river. The protests were self-contained on the west side of the river in a small area of downtown. remember talking to my son back then (I was concerned) and he told me not to worry. Most people were going about their lives outside of the the downtown area.

Same is true in LA. Small area of the city but the rest are going about their business.

Looking forward to taking my old body to a protest on Saturday. Weather looks good. Hope it pours in DC but the rest of the country has beautiful sunny weather or at least no rain. Three of my cousins are heading to our state capitol in Hartford. They're being transported by bus. Tells me they expect a huge crowd. Bigger than the 1st protest. I'll be at a smaller protest in a town next to me. Bringing my flag!

I'm bringing my flag, too, and buying flags for others at our small protest in deep red GA. Heather Cox Richardson talked in her Tues chat about the importance of showing our patriotism and love of freedom if we are to encourage those who are hesitant to join our cause!

Proudly donated this morning to Jon Ossof's campaign. I'm happy Hopium is working to re-elect him!

I also thanked Senators Duckworth and Durbin for their opposition to Trump and encouraged them to do everything they could to defeat the reconciliation bill. I asked them to speak up to support Newsom and CA. Illinois is likely next.

I am having first knee replacement surgery tomorrow, so I will be with you all in spirit at protests over the weekend. I'll be protesting from my recliner as I have been since January!

Just called my VA senators and left messages. In each message, I told them how I supported the positions that they had taken, as shown on their Blue Sky accounts. I know I could do the same by reacting to their posts, but for now, I'm just not into social media.

Of course, both of my Democratic senators are against the "rancid reconciliation bill" and the illegal tariffs, so in my voice messages, I thanked them for that and urged them to keep fighting.

BTW, on Blue Sky I was happy to learn that Mark Warner is trying to make housing more affordable through legislation both at the local, state and national level. He has two inspiring short videos about how this could work! https://bsky.app/profile/markwarner.bsky.social/post/3lqv4an6bt223

It was so refreshing to focus for a moment on what we can be FOR instead of just having to focus on what we are AGAINST!

I might have missed it in your article, Simon, but AP just came out with a 39%-60% approval poll for Trump. Trump has a whopping 60% disapproval rating! I don't think his approvals were going up over the last couple of months at all. These slew of polls are showing that.
