Selling democracy for clicks and views. Sad when news media degenerate into infotainment.

It’s easy to find contact info for NBC. I emailed them this morning. Told them I have no problem if they want to present both left and right leaning views but they need to do so with credible people.

Not someone who was on the 🤡/Raffensperger call promising Raffensperger legal help if he’d go along with 🤡 and find those votes.

Also mentioned the fact that they seem to have trashed the ethical code of journalism…to be fair, accurate and balanced.

We have the power to flood the zone. And that’s just what we need to do. It only takes a few minutes.

💪💙

We need to turn NC blue. Insurance. WI, GA, and AZ are all winnable but we also need NC — just in case!

also, we have some very extreme statewide candidates whom we must defeat. and some excellent Dem candidates, like Mo Green for our head of public schools (department of public instruction) https://www.mogreenfornc.com/

Me, too. I watched Simon's talk with her and she just blew me away. Sharp and on the ball, she knows her stuff. I re-organized my limited budget so I can donate to select winnable contests and NC is one of them. I am optimistic that we can restore the House AND the Senate to working condition by electing Dem candidates to both houses and creating a Congress that honorable Republicans will be able to work in as well.

FYI, Simon, I’m appearing on the Friday Power Lunch Zoom at noon on Mar 29 to talk about our Leaflet Every Doorstep campaign, and I intend to inform folks that it was you who inspired this in early 2023, when you told everyone to Get Loud! Thanks for all you do! You deserve a break!

Enjoy your time off with your family. I just spent a few days in Arizona with my family and it was great! In the decades my brother has lived here, I've seen the state go from Gov. Jan Brewer to Gov. Katie Hobbs so it's moving in a good direction and electing Ruben Gallego, flipping some Congressional seats and the state legislature (while voting for Joe Biden again) will help move it even farther in a good direction.

It’s spring break for lots of folks—but we who are part of the grassroots, especially those who’ve being doing work back to 2017 (you know who you are), sometimes forget that we are stronger when we rest and recharge.

We should all recognize that the fight for progress, democracy and freedoms is neither a sprint nor a marathon—it is a relay, where it’s not only how we run our lap/s, but how well we take and make the handoff to our team that will decide the result.

So get out, take a deep breath and smell the flowers!

Enjoy your well-earned time with family.

Speaking of the way-back machine, I heard your interview with Lucas Kunce (MO, running against the execrable Josh Hawley) from last summer on the Deep State Radio podcast this morning.

I would love to hear whether you think Lucas has a chance and should be supported. I wish it so badly that I can't trust my judgment. One advantage I think he has is that so many Missourians have voted for Democrats in the recent past, so it's not anathema to them the way it can be to lifelong Republicans. Hawley is actually creepy and weird. He gave the white supremacy fist to the Jan. 6 insurrectionists. His wife was instrumental in the lawsuit to ban medication abortions using mifepristone, which is coming before SCOTUS very soon.

I remember 2008, when one of Obama's very last campaign stops was in my Missouri hometown, because it was a swing state. What a steady downfall since then.

Lucas is the real deal! We have to make it happen here in Missouri. We have to "show them" from the "show me" state. I'm in Webster Groves, you Ellen?

I'm afraid I fled Missouri, Howard, and now live in Minnesota. But I still follow the news in Missouri, and wish it would turn around from its deep dive to vye with Alabama and Mississippi in all social markers.

Missouri is a pinkish red state but we have good news too. Abortion will be on the ballot in August or November. We have a strong candidate in MO-2, recently announced, Ray Hartmann a longtime media personality. Best of all, Marine Vet Lucas Kunce continues to run even against widely despised Sen. Josh Hawley according to several polls inc. Morning Consult, etc. Trump's extremism has the potential to make Missouri competitive again.
