You’re welcome. I absolutely believe in your goals for ppl being information warriors. I also belong to the DNC social media ambassador team. Heather Cox Richardson has repeatedly called for ppl to speak up, speak out, take up space.
I see ppl online saying “they want change.” We ARE getting it with the most progressive historic legislation in decades from our oldest President and our first ever female Vice President. No one is coming to save us. It’s US, we have to save our democracy for all of us, even the magas although they may never recognize that.
Really looking forward to this. My nephew just signed up for Hopium Chronicles! I told him that of all the newsletters, newspapers, etc. that grace, my inbox, you and Heather are my mainstays and that did it for him.
TECHNICAL CONCERN: I will find a way to get in on the 13th but I keep wondering if maybe you lost people on the Hopium zoom this past week because it was not easy to get in, for me, anyway. although I registered early, the only way I finally got in was to register again and at that point there was a button to join "meeting in progress." I looked and looked and never received a link to put into my calendar. Perhaps this is happening for others? If it's just me, no worries. I'll figure it out.
We did not have wide reports of problems.....sorry you had troubles. The public events will also always be on YouTube as a backup if you are having issues with Zoom. I will look into a little deeper about notifications etc for our private gatherings. S
FYI:I registered same day and was late to class😕 and got similar message of “meeting in progress” .and was unable to Zoom in. But as Joan, I’ll figure it out and can always listen in later.
I will watch it on YouTube, but could not find the link, this time, either, even though I did registered. Can anyone clue me in? Maybe I've been come become complacent because I always seem to get a zoom link in my inbox, when I sign up for zoom sessions elsewhere
