A few things on this fall Saturday morning:
Inflation Keeps Coming Down, Gas Prices Coming Down Across US - One of the most watched measures of inflation, “Core PCE,” only rose 0.14% in August, which is less than the Fed’s target of 2% annually. As you will see from the graph below from Nick Timiraos of the WSJ, this puts this critical measure just slightly above where policy makers want it to be over the last 3 months. Neil Irwin the Chief Economics Correspondent for Axios tweeted: “Best inflation number in quite a long time.” Yes, it is remarkably good news.
Due to a lessening of demand after summer vacation season, and cheaper winter gas, gas prices have started coming down across the US, and will on the West Coast too in the next few weeks. More good news.

Steve Scalise - even taking a bullet a couple years ago wasn't enough to wake him up. Gen. Milley - can't wait to hear what he has to say once his military career is officially over. President Biden's speech should go down is history along side the Gettysburg Address. And please remember, folks, gas prices have been artificially high due to production drawbacks from our favorite neighbors, the Russians and the Saudis. NOT from anything domestic. And Musk - please tell me why anyone other than the hard-core trump-lickers would have anything to do with Rated-X!
