I think the Stormy Daniels trial, despite the CW that this is the “weakest trial” and doesn’t matter, is incredibly damaging to Trump. This is the kind of story that will travel to non political media and remind people about how awful Donald Trump is and how he is devoid of character.
I know many of us were hoping for Jack Smith but January 6 and the documents are more abstract and this is very, very personal and will be very powerful. The fact that he groomed Stormy Daniels and then did not use protection and then later overturned Roe is a very, very bad narrative (credit to Lawrence O’Donnell for this thought).
