The War Has Started Doing Meaningful Damage To Trump's Standing, Gas Prices Hit $4 A Gallon, Let's Rock This Filing Deadline People!

Morning everyone. Today is the last day of filing period for candidates and party committees across the country. Let’s make this a good day for the intrepid warriors leading us into battle this fall!

This community rallied for our candidates and party committees yesterday, contributing over $100,000, Amazing work all! Can we match or exceed that today? My hope is that everyone reading this email will contribute $10, $25 or more to at least one of our courageous candidates and party committees (below). For this early money really matters all. It is used to hire staff, grow capacity, and help us get louder. The money raised today is put to work everyday from now until Election Day, and is very impact and high return on investment. Money today just matters more than money in October - so let’s reach deep today folks!

As we look ahead towards November we should be optimistic about our chances. The failed, illegal, ridiculous war has started driving down Trump’s already terrible approval rating, and is now doing even further damage to Republican electoral prospects this year. Let’s survey some recent data……

Trump is now at -21 job approval in the FiftyPlusOne polling average It’s the lowest reading of his second term:

I charted the polls of Quantus Insights, a very pro-Trump, “red wave” pollster. This is the kind of data they are seeing inside the MAGA bubble. Ugly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The weekly Economist/YouGov track was just released, and it also shows Trump melting down this week, dropping 5 points in just the past 7 days, and at his lowest level of his second term:

We started seeing this kind of dramatic movement against Trump late last week in that Reuters/Ipsos poll we reviewed last Thursday:

Here’s more remarkable data from the new Economist/YouGov poll:

• Support for Iran War 28%-59% (-31). 28% support for the Iran War! Republicans are 62%-24%. A quarter of Republicans are now against the war.

• Trump approval for the War, 30% approve, 60% disapprove (-30). Republicans are 68%-22%.

• Ground troops - 14% favor, 62% oppose (-48). Republicans are 30% favor, 37% oppose.

The country is turning hard against the war. These are stunning numbers.

Gas hit $4 a gallon in the US this morning:

In a new right-aligned poll in North Carolina Roy Cooper has opened up his biggest lead of the cycle, 49%-41%.

A new poll in Alaska has Mary Peltola winning in the first real test of their ranked choice voting system:

A new Emerson College poll in Maine has both Mills and Platner beating Collins:

If we win these three Senate races, and hold all the ones we currently have, we are at 50 seats. Talarico has been polling even in Texas. The last poll in Ohio had Sherrod Brown up two. Our performance this cycle and our polls in Iowa have been encouraging. We got a shot here peeps!

So, now, let’s get to work and close out this critical first quarter strong everyone!
