Afternoon all. In my post this morning we discussed the need for national Democrats to mount an aggressive campaign in these next few weeks against ICE’s “detention” centers - both the inhumanity of how they are run today, and their planned expansion.
Last night, the town of Surprise, Arizona, a Phoenix suburb, had a community meeting to discuss ICE’s purchase of an enormous storage facility in Surprise that the agency is intending to turn into a detention center. According to a local site, Arizona Right Watch (ARW), hundreds showed up to express their disapproval.

Minnesota Congresswoman Kelly Morrison has released a new video detailing her visit to the Whipple Detention Center in Minneapolis a few days ago. It is unacceptable this shit is going on the United States of America, and we must keep fighting to end it people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
