I am excited to share a new conversation with Janelle Stelson, our terrific candidate running the 10th District of Pennsylvania against Republican Rep Scott Perry. A recording and transcript are above. Janelle lost by just 5,000 votes in 2024 in a district Trump won by 5.3 points. With a far better political environment and a popular Governor, Josh Shapiro, running for re-election at the top of the ticket, she is in a very strong position to flip this critical battleground district blue next year.
Our community rallied for Janelle last cycle and I’m thrilled to be able to back her again this time. She joins three other candidates - Christina Bohannan (IA-01), Paige Cognetti (PA-10), and Jo Mendoza (AZ-06) - in our Winning The House campaign, which is our way of supporting those fighting to flip red House seats blue and take back the House next year. You learn a lot about a place when you tell its stories for decades. For more than 30 years, Central Pennsylvanians have relied on Janelle to tell the truth, trusted her to shine a light on our problems, and counted on her to get answers and hold the powerful accountable. Whether she was with small business owners, riding along with local law enforcement, or covering the rising costs of housing and healthcare, Janelle has been listening and telling the stories of countless families across the district. She has heard over and over how people in Central Pennsylvania are sick and tired of career politicians who have been ignoring them and their problems.
Janelle will fight for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, and a woman’s right to choose. She will work with Republicans & Democrats to lower costs, invest in small businesses and family farms, and ensure we have access to affordable housing and child care. She supports term limits, banning members of Congress from insider stock trading and prohibiting members of Congress from becoming lobbyists when they retire, exploiting their former relationships.
