Good evening everybody. Sending along two Election Recap videos for you to chew on in the days ahead. The first is a recording of an event we hosted this afternoon (a transcript and recording are above). It featured an extended discussion with our good friend and data guru Tom Bonier who shared some of his key takeaways from what was now clearly our best election in five years (see my memo this morning for my early take on this Blue Wave election).
We also got to hear from Charlie Dingman, Chair of the Maine Democratic Party. Charlie had one of the big wins yesterday as Maine voters decisively rejected Question 1, a malicious Republican ballot measure that would have made it far harder for the people of Maine to vote.
For our community it is important to hear what Charlie has to say about how they won last night, and the role of a well-funded 24/7/365 state Democratic Party can play in helping us win and countering their electoral chicanery. We’ve raised over $35,000 for the Maine Party in the last few weeks through our Audacious Expansion Fund and Charlie explains how those resources helped contribute to this important win that will make it far more likely that we flip the Maine Senate seat next year.
