Biden Campaign Raises It’s Social Media Game, Bigly - The early Biden campaign’s social media efforts have been impressive. Last night they took it to a whole other level, launching a TikTok account with this video:
And crafted what is likely to be the most viewed political social media post of all time - this one, below, which mocks the conspiracy theories on the right about the Deep State, Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs. As of this morning it had 100 million views on Twitter alone. It’s brilliant.
There Is No Looking Away - Trump Is An Unprecedented Threat To America and The Global Democracy Movement We’ve Led For Generations - In my presentation, With Democrats, Things Get Better, I talk about how the greatest achievement of the Democratic Party is our imagining and building of the American-led global order which has created a golden age for humankind. In recent decades under this American-led system this we’ve seen an unprecedented explosion of opportunity for the people of the world, soaring life expectancy, plummeting poverty, and more people living under democracies than any time in human history. Here in the US this global order has brought unprecedented prosperity too, and it is a central reason why we remain the most powerful nation in the world today.
Trump, in partnership with Putin and other autocrats around the world, wants to tear it all down.

Russian efforts to influence the 2016 US presidential election represent the most recent expression of Moscow’s longstanding desire to undermine the US-led liberal democratic order, but these activities demonstrated a significant escalation in directness, level of activity, and scope of effort compared to previous operations.
We assess Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in 2016 aimed at the US presidential election. Russia’s goals were to undermine public faith in the US democratic process, denigrate Secretary Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency. We further assess Putin and the Russian Government developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump….
….Moscow’s influence campaign followed a Russian messaging strategy that blends covert intelligence operations—such as cyber activity—with overt efforts by Russian Government agencies, state-funded media, third-party intermediaries, and paid social media users or “trolls.”
Here’s Trump this weekend announcing his intention to end the most important cornerstone of the US-led global democratic order, NATO, and then encourages Russia to attack our European allies as they have Ukraine:
There are many reasons to be upset at Merrick Garland. But allowing this clear and unprecedented threat to America to still be present today, still threatening us, is in my mind his greatest and most unforgivable failure. For this is what Trump is running on now, and what he fight for is he wins:
He wants Putin to win, the West to lose. The border to be in chaos, and migrants to keep flowing into the country. The economy to crash. Women, people of color to lose more freedoms and rights. The planet to warm faster. 10 year olds to carry their rapist's baby to term, and for more women to die on an operating room table. Tens of millions to lose their health insurance. More dead kids in schools. Verified rapists in positions of authority. A restoration of pre-Civil Rights era white supremacy. Big tax cuts for their donors, higher deficits and less for everyone else. Books banned across the US. Seniors to pay more for insulin and prescription drugs. Foreign governments free to pollute our daily discourse and harass our citizens. Teenagers to work night shifts in meat packing plants and not go to school. The minimum wage to stay at $7.25. Mass arrests and mass deportations of immigrants long settled in the US. Insurrectionists to get pardoned. To end American democracy for all time.
We have a long and hard nine months ahead of us. We are going to have good days, and not good days. Through it all we need to do more, worry less, and stayed grounded in the fundamental reality of the 2024 election:
Joe Biden is a good President. The country is better off. The Democratic Party is strong and winning elections all across the country. And they have Trump.

As for snow, 2 points: 1) you never know how this will impact turnout 2) GOP is more reliant on election day voters than we are so in theory this is more dangerous for them than for us but we will find out tomorrow! Just keep working hard all - S
I just watched Suozzi on MSNBC and was disappointed that he did not once mention the great economic news and Biden's accomplishments, and found it strange that he chose to equate the actions of the right wing MAGA extremists with the left. Saying both sides have a problem is not the message we want to give. The Democrats make deals, the Republicans obstruct. Biden is the ultimate bipartisan player. It's a shame Suozzi chose to disassociate from Biden's accomplishments and his history of being able to reach across the aisle. Yes both presidential candidates are under water in the polls, but one is facing 91 counts and the other occasionally mixes up words (which he always has).
