We Have 15 Days To Win The November Elections - Let's Get To Work Everyone!!!!!!
Hopium paid subscribers will gather Wednesday night at 7pm ET/Welcome new subscribers!!!!!
Morning all. After an incredibly successful No Kings Day we have a lot of momentum now, and it is imperative that we take that good cheer and sense of progress and turn it towards winning the November 4th elections.
Before we dive in let’s enjoy this photo of a few of us proud, plucky patriots who spent Saturday together in DC (note the sign!):
We are in the final sprint my friends and just need to leave it all the playing field these next fifteen days. Donate, call/text, canvass, fight the info battles - do whatever you can to help us close strong now.
With 15 days to go we had some encouraging state polls from over the weekend:
NJ - Sherrill 52%-45 (+7) Fairleigh Dickinson University
VA - Spanberger 51%-41% Kaplan Strategies (GOP aligned firm)
OH Senate - Brown 49%-48% Husted (incumbent) Bowling Green State U
OH Gov - Ramaswamy 50%-47% Action
These encouraging polls follow recent polls showing Mills up in Maine (Platner tied), Cooper up in NC, Pappas up in NH and the Texas Senate race closer than Republicans would want. To be clear this batch of data shows Republicans struggling to hold on to their Governorship in VA and their US Senate seats in ME, NC, OH and even TX. Yes, if we do the work this cycle can be one of our opportunity for us.
I’m featured in Greg Sargent’s New Republic Daily Blast podcast this morning talking about the current polling and electoral struggles Trump and Republicans are deservedly experiencing. Here’s Greg’s summary of our discussion:
President Trump’s fury at Democrats over the government shutdown is escalating. First he angrily announced that he’s “terminated” the big tunnel project connecting New York and New Jersey, basically saying he’d done this to punish Chuck Schumer, an extraordinarily deranged act of direct retribution. Then he unleashed a rambling tirade filled with lies about “mentally damaged” Democrats’ shutdown stance. All this comes as a new CNBC poll finds Trump and the GOP blamed for economic damage over the shutdown by 53-37. This has driven his economic approval down to 42-55, the worst ever in CNBC polling, with his standing on inflation at an abysmal 34-62. We talked to Democratic strategist Simon Rosenberg, author of “The Hopium Chronicles.” He argues we should focus on the fundamentals: Trump is doing immense harm to the country, he’s deeply unpopular, and that will matter in the midterms—though Rosenberg also discusses why beating Trump and recovering from our authoritarian slide will be a brutal longer-term slog. Listen to this episode here. A transcript is here.
It’s a great conversation and hope you can get to it when you have the time. You can find back up to my major points in the interview in my recent post, As His Powers Ebb Trump Has Chosen Autocracy Over Democrats. It’s Up To Us To Stop Him.
Here’s something we discuss:
Here’s the CNBC chart Greg references that was seen by Trump’s Wall Street buddies all day Friday on their TVs - Trump losing the big argument right now (he is weak, not strong):
A reminder that the late Friday AP-NORC released the worst independent poll for Trump this year. It too shows him losing the big and consequential arguments with the public:
Look at these issue breakouts. Just yikes! Here’s the breakout with independent voters:
Job approval 21%-75% (-54)
Immigration 26%-66% (-40)
Economy 18%-78% (-60)
Health Care 16%-79% (-63)
If you want a bit more of Simon today you can catch me on live with our good friend Stuart Stevens at 2pm ET and again at 5pm with commentator Mike Nellis. You can find links to both, and to our paid subscriber event this week, under the Events tab on the main Hopium site, where you can find links to all our live events.
Spanberger announces a closing 11 day bus tour -
In the lead up to Election Day on November 4, Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger will be embarking on another bus tour across the Commonwealth — the 11-day, 40-plus-stop “Virginia Votes Bus Tour,” which will kick off this weekend.
From October 25 until Election Day on November 4, Spanberger will travel across the Commonwealth to lay out the stakes in this year’s elections and encourage Virginians to cast their ballots. Along the tour, Spanberger will also make clear to Virginians that she is the only candidate for Governor of Virginia who will always put Virginia first — and who will get to work on day one to lower costs for Virginia families, grow Virginia’s economy, and strengthen Virginia’s schools.
“Since I launched my campaign to serve Virginians as their next Governor, I have been traveling across the Commonwealth and listening to Virginians share the challenges facing their families — from high costs to job losses and threats to their businesses. I’ve spoken with Virginians about their concerns — about the success of their children’s schools, our Commonwealth’s economic future, and the security of our fundamental rights,” said Spanberger. “Now — as we approach Election Day and hundreds of thousands of Virginians are casting their ballots, I’m making clear to Virginians that on day one, I will get to work to make their visions a reality. As Virginia’s next Governor, I will be focused on making Virginia more affordable, protecting our economy from threats out of Washington, and making sure our schools are the best in the country — and I will never be afraid to stand up for Virginia.”

Defending America, Winning The Big Argument With Trump - We have two recommended actions today:
1 - Call Your Senators and Member Of The House And Demand They Act Upon Our Four-Part Agenda - We need to be loud people, very, very loud and make the case for our our emerging four part agenda. Demand that your Senators and House Member work to:
Roll back Trump’s terrible, illegal tariffs that are re-igniting inflation, driving up prices, shifting the tax burden from the wealthy to working people, hurting small businesses and farmers, reviving tyrannical “taxation without representation,” and alienating governments and people throughout the world
Defend our democracy, rule of law, and our liberties by blocking the expansion of ICE, restoring due process for immigrants across the country, vigorously defending the 1st Amendment, warring against his outrageous targeting of his domestic political opponents, and ending the use of the military on our streets and the unlawful occupation of our cities
Fight Trump’s war on science, higher education and our public health; reverse - not delay - the cuts to the ACA and Medicaid; support and co-sponsor Rep. Haley Stevens’ effort to Impeach and remove Robert Kennedy
Stand with Ukraine and our European allies, and far more forcefully challenge Trump’s traitorous efforts to sell out the US and the West to Russia and China
2 - Bring “Resolutions Of Condemnation” To Your Community - Inspired by the tactics of our Founders learn about how Hopium members are advancing “Resolutions of Condemnation” in their communities across the country and consider bringing this initiative to your state, country or city/town. Be sure to check out our new discussion with Deborah Potter and Rachel Poliner who have passed resolutions in New Mexico and Boston. They offer practical advice on how to get a resolution passed in your own community.
Remarkably, members of this community have passed or are advancing 85 (!!!!) resolution projects in 23 states + DC. Can we get to all 50 states by the end of the year?
Finally, please self-report your activities to our daily paid subscriber chat. These reports help inspire all of us to do more and fight harder! Please include reports of voting early and consider sending photos of your completed ballot or or your “I’ve voted” sticker to community@hopiumchronicles.com.
Keep working hard all, and remember Hopium is hope with a plan. We don’t just hope tomorrow will be better than today. We do the work to make it so - Simon
Priceless satire from Andy Borowitz!
"George Soros Declares Bankruptcy After Paying No Kings Protesters"
KATONAH, NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—George Soros has been forced to declare bankruptcy after paying over seven million people to attend the No Kings protests, the billionaire confirmed on Monday.
“When I agreed to pay everyone who showed up at these things, I had no idea so many people were going to accept my offer,” Soros admitted. “But a deal’s a deal.”
The legendary investor said that paying No Kings participants had required him to liquidate his most prized holdings, including his share in the orbital lasers operated by the Rothschild banking family.
Soros revealed that paying the five million Antifa members at the rallies cost him “a pretty penny,” adding, “They may be anarchists, but they don’t work for free.”

I cannot with the MSM, not that anyone can these last 10 years. Just out of curiosity, I was checking YouTube yesterday, and the both-sides stuff was off the charts bad. UGH.
Making the phone calls today as usual. Rumor has it the Dem "big kahunas" are headed to NJ these closing weeks. Stay tuned...and Keep Going!
