Let’s start today with an uplifting video message that Abigail Spanberger sent to us late yesterday (above). Here she thanks the Hopium community for all that we’ve done for her and her campaign for Governor, and provides an update on the state of the race and what we need to do to win. We are close to our goal of $250,000 raised - thank you all! Please consider donating today and volunteering for a few shifts of calls in the coming weeks. She is ahead in the polls and we just need to close strong and get out our vote to win. No letting up people!
Good Luck Today Everyone! - Hopium folks in the DC area who want to head to the event on the Mall together should meet at the Navy Memorial Plaza, 701 Pennsylvania Ave, NW at 11:15am. The plaza is right by the entrance to the Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter Metro station. Let’s gather at this statue below, and we can head over together. The weather looks great and I’m excited to meet folks!

For a little morning inspiration enjoy the findings of this new AP-NORC poll. It is the worst major poll of Trump’s second term clocking in at 37% approve, 61% disapprove. There is a reason so many people will be on the streets today - the country has really turned on him and his rancid “more for me, less for all of you” agenda:
Look at this ugliness. Down 14 points on immigration!
And look at this lovely data his fellow oligarchs were seeing all day long on CNBC yesterday from their new poll - their manly guy is losing all the big arguments to those lowly Dems!
Here is what the CNBC audience read and heard yesterday:
Americans’ views on the economy turned more negative in the third quarter with deepening concerns about jobs, inflation and the outlook, according to the CNBC All-America Economic Survey.
Together with blame for the shutdown aimed at the president and congressional Republicans, those views dragged down President Donald Trump’s net approval rating on the economy to 42% approving and 55% disapproving.
The -13 net approval on the economy is the lowest of any CNBC survey during either of Trump’s two terms.
The president’s overall approval rating dropped to 44% from 46% while disapproval rose 1 percentage point to 52%. The results continued a second-term trend with his economic approval running below his overall approval rating.
In his first term, the president’s economic numbers were routinely positive and well above his overall polling.
The survey of 1,000 people nationwide, with a margin of error of +/- 3.1%, found 53% of respondents blaming the potential economic fallout from the shutdown on Republicans in Congress and the president, compared with 37% for Democrats.
Remember, Donald Trump is weak, not strong. Losing, not winning. Failing, not succeeding. A villain, not a hero. A big blubbery baby man, anything, anything, but a strong manly man.

When you vote early your names comes off the campaign GOTV rolls allowing them to move on to lower propensity voters, which increases D turnout and makes it more likely we win. Voting early = another way to help us win.

1 - Call Your Senators and Member Of The House And Demand They Act Upon Our Four-Part Agenda - We need to be loud people, very, very loud and make the case for our our emerging four part agenda. Demand that your Senators and House Member work to keep the government open and
Roll back Trump’s terrible, illegal tariffs that are re-igniting inflation, driving up prices, shifting the tax burden from the wealthy to working people, hurting small businesses and farmers, reviving tyrannical “taxation without representation,” and alienating governments and people throughout the world
Defend our democracy, rule of law, and our liberties by blocking the expansion of ICE, restoring due process for immigrants across the country, vigorously defending the 1st Amendment, warring against his outrageous targeting of his domestic political opponents, and ending the use of the military on our streets and the unlawful occupation of our cities
Fight Trump’s war on science, higher education and our public health; reverse - not delay - the cuts to the ACA and Medicaid; support and co-sponsor Rep. Haley Stevens’ effort to Impeach and remove Robert Kennedy
Stand with Ukraine and our European allies, and far more forcefully challenge Trump’s traitorous efforts to sell out the US and the West to Russia and China
2 - Bring “Resolutions Of Condemnation” To Your Community - Inspired by the tactics of our Founders learn about how Hopium members are advancing “Resolutions of Condemnation” in their communities across the country and consider bringing this initiative to your state, country or city/town. Be sure to check out our new discussion with Deborah Potter and Rachel Poliner who have passed resolutions in New Mexico and Boston, and offer advice on how to get a resolution passed in your own community.
Remarkably, members of this community have passed or are advancing 85 (!!!!) resolution projects in 23 states + DC. Can we get to all 50 states by the fall election?
